Reddit is blocked in my country so I have to open reddit using dns, because lemmy is already there, this is an opportunity to find a community forum for a replacement for reddit in my country.

I'm using LOS rom without gapp and it works fine for me, but there are problems like bank app not working properly and some apps need google services. For apps that don't work, there are many alternatives out there.
If I'm not mistaken huawei has an app called gspace, it can run google apps as usual, so there seems to be no problem if you upgrade your phone.
