Not paying bills is kind of his signature move.

Depends on what sort of underlying file system you want to use on the drive. For Linux filesystems (ext4, btrfs, zfs etc), here's a good start: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dm-crypt

For NTFS, BitLocker is already baked in to Windows.

Disappointed to hear this, but it sounds like they made the decision for good reasons at least. Their games are all standouts in an underserved genre.

Hard agree, and you can see some success stories here and there where communities get municipal broadband up and running. Legacy companies and GOP legislators on their payroll are very hostile to this however, preferring to loot the Treasury (in the form of subsidies) and continue delivering subpar service. Would be cool to see at a state/national level though.

Ideally? He flees the country like a coward, and the Republican party implodes under the strain of infighting to be his successor.

It's funny that this is presented as a revelation. Also the implication that adderall is a gateway drug to caffeine is hilarious.

I think as a turn-key solution, the prebuilt enclosures are fine. I have a two-bay Synology that works well. If you've already got components though, DIY is probably going to give you a lot more granular control. I'm planning on building out a home server rack including a TrueNAS VM or something similar.

Yeah I think this is more a compatibility filter. If it's an interest of yours and makes you happy, there is no cutoff.

Yeah it's a special game, and a masterclass in "show, don't tell" exposition.

I did an MBA a few years into my professional career, and I think overall it was a great deal. I was fortunate enough to have it paid for by my employer at the time. That particular program was geared toward working professionals, so the classroom time was just evenings and weekends. It checked the box for me being able to say I have a graduate degree on job applications, so I'd say it was worth it.

This has been a great alternative for me so far. Very straightforward and functional.

Would be great to see some sustained support for this kind of infrastructure. I had the opportunity to go to Tokyo, and one of the things that amazed me the most was the (train-based) public transportation system.

In order of listening frequency:

Yeah this is just them crying trying to get regulators to allow the Activision merger.

That's awesome. Thanks for posting the pics and assembly.

Journey, and more recently Tunic, both had soundtracks that complemented their gameplay really well.

I hate ketchup, so almost anything else. That said, mustard or some sort of flavored/spicy mayo are top choices.

Good for them. Wealthy owners should be paying for stadiums, not extorting taxpayers.

Oh great, another pivot to video. I feel like the lesson wasn't learned the first time around.

Good point about crossplay (also cross-save through bnet); it's platform agnostic from that standpoint. I've been on PS5 and found the console experience to be pretty good. The game plays well on a controller.

The Freespace games are legendary in that genre. Probably second only to TIE Fighter.

Having grown up with TNG, hard agree. If we get to a Starfleet-style space navy, then I'm in.

This is me. The Heir to the Empire trilogy is one of my favorite book series. I read every bit of the old EU I could get my hands on in the 90s. Quality definitely varies across different books and authors, but I think that era of content is worthwhile if you're a Star Wars fan.

Good for them.

Like some other replies said, it probably won't get you a job by itself. But it may get you the interview if it's the distinguishing factor between you and an equivalent candidate.

I got RHCSA (and later RHCE), and I think they were worthwhile. On cost, I would not go out of pocket for the Red Hat training if that's the bundle you're referring to. That stuff is priced for people that are being funded by their companies. Personally, I did self-study using Sander van Vugt's materials. He has both books and videos for RHCSA, depending on your learning style. I found them to be excellent preparation for the exam.

That's awesome to hear. I'm looking to set up some self-hosted stuff, and I see a lot of recommendations for Tailscale for the VPN element.

Anyone remember that Outer Limits episode about this? They thought the teleporter malfunctioned, but it really just failed to destroy the source "copy" of the girl at the point of origin. Since she also appeared at destination, the station operator had to flush the original out of the airlock.

TLDR- Would totally use it.

The earliest I can remember are Mario and Zelda on NES, or BurgerTime on Intellivision.

Yep! I have one that I use for music when I go running. It's over 10 years old now, and still works fine. Phones are too heavy for that use case.

The ysalamiri! Yes indeed.

That's interesting. I had thought of doing TrueNAS Scale as a VM running in Proxmox, but you're suggesting have TrueNAS itself be the bare-metal hypervisor? What do you find annoying about Proxmox?

I'm sure this will work out well for them. The legacy social sites are really on a roll this summer.
