So has the app been put back since the issue was fixed?

I know you probably don't mean it this way, but it's not literally any phone. Also custom ROMs could have their own issues and bugs to deal with.

Well depends on why you're unlocking the bootloader. Some people just want root but not necessarily a custom ROM. Though for some phones a custom ROM may be more appealing than others.

Uh what? Google developed Inbox. And its features were not all transferred 100% to Gmail either.

With Android's private DNS feature it makes it easy to get some form of system-wide ad blocking without needing to rely on an app or have root. I think that would make it fairly popular. Of course this is an app but the root argument still applies.

It's not based on the item. You can boil turkey and poach eggs as well. Here's various definitions to get you started:

Former reddit user here. I hope that this site grows and prospers and I look forward to discovering replacement communities for subreddits I've used.

Logitech I guess. There is the mousereview subreddit if you want to research some alternatives. Don't know if there is a Lemmy community equivalent.

I remember purchasing that keyboard a long time ago. The super compact layout was neat. Shame they ceased development.

I think that's Samsung. The Pixels don't have a fuse AFAIK.

I use Sync because it was my favorite client for reddit but I'm definitely gonna hold out on paying until there is a sale or something. My usage of Lemmy is not that high at the moment.

The on-device ad blockers either require root or you have to use the VPN slot (and have the app constantly running). It all depends on what is more important to you.

No it doesn't. Also you can just relock the bootloader. Google doesn't care.

Thank you for explaining. I was wondering about all the talk of (lack of) karma.

For Android, having apps ask for permission for notifications is a very new feature (debut in Android 13 I think) so by default apps notifications were collectively permitted. It would be up to the user to explicitly go in and disable notifications after the fact. I think many people either didn't know how to access the notification settings or just didn't care enough to disable them.

Start with the watch.

From what I understand, Google One had its own persistent notification (left side) when using the VPN as well as the normal key icon (right side). So now it just has the latter.

Don't think Razer software will be that much better. After trying razor I am now on a g502 x lightspeed. I really hope these new switches address the double-clicking issues for good.

We can already interact with our friends and family anywhere we choose

Well not exactly. The person posting chooses the platform and then other people have to go to said platform. If someone doesn't like platform X and prefers Y then they have to convince others to also switch to Y. This happened with instant messengers and it happens with chat applications.

It looks like the lemmy.world website, not an app.

Yes. They are working on re-basing the launcher:

What phone do you have right now?

What would you switch to if it dies?

Ugh don't tell me that. Knock on wood that mine is okay.

For the standalone magsafe adapters it can be a small annoyance but you can also get charging stands or stations that would be heavier and not have the same issue. Also I would much rather deal with the magnets when disconnecting the phone than not have them and deal with getting the alignment right. I have so often thought my phone was wirelessly charging only to wake up to a dead phone.

Compete in what sense? I feel like the weakness of Android tablets is more on the software and app side.

So you can have a portable device with a larger screen than your phone? For general media consumption?

I had a similar issue where my subscriptions were blank. A logout and re-login fixed it. Thanks.

in a better format than a link aggregator.

Wouldn't that also apply to any image content then (like comics, memes, infographics, etc)? It doesn't stop it from being popular. The important thing is simply finding a site that allows your specific content and that doesn't heavily compress it.

What (app) do you use on Android? Or are you just an iOS user?

So what price do you think the 8 Pro should sell at?

And what price do you think would be good for a 8 Pro and Pixel Watch bundle?

At some point the 8 Pro would be sold at MSRP and without the watch which would be the worst value. And you would have to wait a long while for the phone to drop in price the value of the watch.

I remember there used to be an app called Inputting+ that made a sort of undo function. Sad that development ceased.

Do you know if it's possible to use Proton Pass just for 2FA or do I need to store my passwords there too?

Are you getting 94Mbps or MBps? If it's the latter then it should be fine.

Do you have another device you can test the Ethernet adapter on?

Since you are able to login to the Lemmy website, have you tried changing your password and then logging into an app?

Also I think account server is the site where you originally created your account. I created my account on lemmy.world so that's what I use.
