More ironic that the mod team agreed.

But now you have 0 friends out of 200k instead of 0 out of 200 million like on reddit. That's an improvement!

It would be cool to merge these plus this one that does link formatting into one threadiverse super extension.

I like cloudflare. They dont do the renewal pricing bs a lot do.

99% of what made it to /all from there was pretty much "I hate my manager"

Very nice. Also post to m/kbinStyles. Here it will get lost pretty quick.

Just think how fun it will be with people telling you to "read the thread" when you can even see it and dont know it exists.

Obvious that this is automated and will be going out to all subs. They definitely wouldn't go to bat to keep a piracy sub open, unless they're even dumber than I thought.

how dare you use talent and skill to make these! I was working making stable diffusion spit out something useful.

Bad news for the "who cares how evil the devs are, they can't affect anyone else" crowd.

They should be running a standard forum software, but are already in too deep to fix the actual problem.

There's a few of these popping up. Maybe you guys can work together.

I posted it basically asking the same question as the title and linked here. Hopefully @ernest will be able to check it out and reword it if necessary.

They have the extra nuclear option of making federation whitelist based, if they think it's necessary.

As a temp workaround, add the following css in stylus or stylbot for kbin.social to hide random posts and threads

section.posts.section {
display: none;
}

section.entries.section {
display: none;
}

These trackers don't show the "exclusive Prime price," so you need to see the price in page along with the chart to actually tell anything.

I wonder if the type of community you're trying to build wouldn't be easier with a more traditional forum software like discourse. The infrastructure and moderation tools there have had much longer to mature.

If big instances like Beehaw go whitelist federation only, it will effectively make single user instances useless.

kbin (kbin.social is currently working) allows individuals to block by domain. That would keep any top level memes off your /all but I think you still see comments.

I checked out the modlog and the mod in question is actually an admin at lemmy.ml. still shouldn't be able to reach in and delete things here though. https://lemmy.ml/u/cypherpunks

My google domain is registered through enom, wonder why the wouldn't transfer it there? Also they say google domains launched in 2014, but I've definitely had mine since 2010.

edit: goggle -> google

add kbin-link to your browser to make this even better!

Anyone can make a magazine on kbin.

it's a blurb in the linked announcement.

Yeah. There are a lot of them, all pretty good. servethehome has done reviews for many- N100 version

If they removed all but one 2.5gbe port, it might not even be any more expensive to give 4 sata and a case.

m/kbinmeta would be better for this question
There are two open issues on codeberg
https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/217 hide threads
https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/371 translate automatically

wish these companies making soft routers would give a couple options with a nas case instead. 4 bay n5105 or n100 for cheap would be a nice low power side grade to my old e3,

oh, you're asking the opposite of what I thought.
Up until a week ago, yes they were still denying the genocide and suppressing attempts to talk about it (they call it "orientalism"). I think they've been too swamped to do much since then.
There are some links to their reddit above with older stuff.

Interesting that active monthly users is almost 50% higher with kbin

Searching seems strange, but you can use the full kbin url. If its a magazine lemmy.world already knows about you can just type it direcly after the c/. ie - https://lemmy.world/c/RedditMigration@kbin.social . They are case sensitive unlike lemmy.

it's a very literal interpretation of random

You won't see their posts and comments moving forward.

Mentioned up above, but there is a pull request that will make docker deployment much easier. It will move all setup into env variables and use precompiled images.

as far as I can tell, it federates with everything

https://github.com/driccio98/kbin-link
Based on the two open issues, it could be made cross compatible pretty easily.

Edit: seems his is slightly different, more for formatting links within posts.

Fedia.io is fully defederated from everything. You shouldn't have any problems with smaller kbin instances that are federating.

I used to do the same, but nowadays I just run everything in docker, within a single lxc container on proxmox. Having to setup mono or similar every time I wanted to setup a game server or even jellyfin was annoying.
