The moon photos they’re talking about are specifically the AI enhanced zoom moon photos of previous Samsung models that caught controversy because taking a picture of a marginally round object against a black background with their zoom enhancement would produce a moon photo even if it was in someone’s dark basement and the object was a dimly lit bottle cap.

Yeah anyone following space YouTube has seen this a dozen times already and knows that it was a deflagration likely due to busted lines and not a detonation. The test stand is likely undamaged (In anysignificant way at least) and it was just an engine test of likely raptor 2 design. This has nothing to do with IFT4 or starbase as far as we can tell.

Just search “Sony Rootkit” and it should be more clear why Sony issuing a new kernel level anticheat is not met with warm regards.

What the fuck

Oh so that’s why they’re asking me to change my password just to check my bill. Because the language on the page was “we regularly perform security audits to help protect you, so please change your password now” and doesn’t mention the breach at all.

Remind us, which part of The Day Before was decent again?

This is where LLMs like GPT should be applied. Parse a post and recommend tags based on the content, allow the user to just select which ones to use. This is how we leverage these models.

Your 30s will be better. Don’t get hung up on thinking your 20s are prime.

It’s really difficult listening to those audio clips. Arguably defamatory territory.

Well, that’s probably true for the most part but by far the reality is that it comes down to lowest bidder 9/10 times. Unrealistic budgets and unrealistic time frames with as cheap labor they can find gets you a large amount of government funded projects throughout all the years.

Too bad these innovations wont make it down to the workers that stores hire from 11pm to 3am to clean the store parking lot across from me.

I was kinda annoyed at double password login when I setup my system too. So what I did was just enable automatic login for my user since I’m the only one. I just treat my disk password as my login form so I just enter one password. I still have a user password for things like sudo and other permissions handling when I’m logged in but getting into a new session is automatic on startup so it doesn’t annoy me anymore. Would that work for you?

Isn’t the venture scene’s motto “loss is the product” or something?

You do know that destroying electronics is common and procedural for government device and data storage right? When they’re done with it there is a typical process involved for members of government to clean out the old equipment as required.

This unclassified NSA document details incineration of hard drives.

This is common, this is procedure.

Some extensions don’t work but many do, you just have to download the extension files from the marketplace website and tell VCCodium to install the extensions from those files.

A Reddit civil war, so to speak? How many times do they have to directly tell every user they mean nothing to them for people to understand.

Yes. It’s a viable way to save money if you use a site like https://shucks.top/

Would a Steam Deck be a viable option? Built for gaming, functions well when using a dock (the official one is really nice).

Jetbrains Rider is fantastic and .net 6+ is native to Linux now. You can even get by with VSCode (I prefer VSCodium) with their improved C# tools.

Depending on what you do, there’s also cross platform UI libraries like Avalonia-UI that can fully replace WPF.

Indeed. These days on any social media, there’s a critical threshold for user generated content creation. Different for every platform and as social media expectations change over time. I think the fediverse has a real shot at sustainable growth thanks to Twitter and Reddit enshittification. Being able to see new content daily or even hourly as a measure of critical mass seems to have been reached here and it’s beautiful to witness!

What are the chances the header is stored in the partition map? Could you use testdisk to try and recover the old partition map and its data?

My reaction reading the title: “wat….”

My reaction after 10 seconds of the video: “why are they….”

My reaction after learning about the performance improvements and beginning of mod support: “Why didn’t they just say that part?”

As much as I want this game to improve and succeed…. This ain’t the way chief.

Let eastern Washington split off too and call them East and West Cascadia.

Having not watched this yet, I’m going to guess that this failure state basically results in the processor simply incrementing its address pointer indefinitely which will inevitably just loop across the whole contents of the rom, along with current state ram data? Outputting audio might be a bug in this case, a hardware bug that is. Unless it was an esoteric way for the system designers to debug using oscilloscopes? Maybe it was meant to just dump ram contents but ended up hitting all rom addresses? Either way, I’m excited to watch this when I get some more time and just wanted to speculate based on the short description of the video I read.

Any WiFi 6 or 7 router in which you can install openwrt and set as a dumb AP connected to an x86 machine running OPNSense or openwrt itself. The redundancy and enhanced control are 10/10 worth it, along with security and stability.

Keep letting them sell stores until they’re small enough to no longer want to merge.

Jesus. Just use group policies and be done with it. What’s with all the shady annoyance blocking apps.

Convenience, automation, remote control.

Yeah that’s ammo (specifically 2 rounds) in the endless war to hit \ with a covert flick of the finger from across the room!

House rule, stacking +4 until someone can’t.

The problem is we tried this before with the subsidies and grants for a major fiber backbone that got half built and the rest of the money pocketed while prices skyrocketed and speeds barely rose. The same thing happened when broadband definitions got rewritten to define faster base speeds— ISPs increased speeds to meet the minimums but also increased the prices.

I’m worried this money will just be pocketed again.

Hopefully it’s not built into a rom chip on any number of custom components in these mini PCs making it software independent.

It doesn’t rely on self transmission. It can but you can detect and range other sources without generating it yourself.

That last statement seams a bit misguided. The without government regulation, cars wouldn’t have such long parts and repair support. Why shouldn’t video games and other products be treated the same?

That’s the real meat of this. The future of models will be these smaller, focused “patches” that have some kind of traceable lineage. At least when it comes to marketing and selling these.
