This happens to me constantly. Just the other day I asked some friends for something and then they sent the literal exact opposite of that thing. Pretend I asked for blue with red stripes they gave me green with yellow polka dots. And it wasn't just one person it was three separate people who all decided that made sense for some reason.

I was extremely specific too, even more than usual because I know people constantly misinterpret me. I made extra sure to not use any language with vague meanings and it still happened anyway. It's like we live in alternate realities where words have completely different meanings.

To be fair it's the exact same bypass as any other Steam game. Any steam emulator would work.

I'm not actually sure it's particularly effective at stopping bots, considering how easy it is to spin up a docker container that can bypass it. Ironically FlareSolverr wasn't able to solve CAPTCHA so now with them gone it works even better.

This tracks with my experience using Unity in the past. They like to add a bunch of half-baked new features while simultaneously deprecating old ones that worked fine. Which means you have to choose between using a "worse" feature you know will no longer be supported or using a "better" feature that's not fully finished yet. When your release window is 2+ years out it is really hard to make that decision.

And they do it directly in their stable builds and label individual features as "beta" rather than keeping them in a separate beta branch which is remarkably stupid. It makes them seem like the features are ready for production when they're clearly not.

I love Inter. I use it on both my desktop and my phone. Not only is it super readable and looks really nice but it's actually open source which is relatively rare in the typeface world.

Seriously, fuck HDMI. I just recently learned they've blocked AMD's open source driver from being able to implement HDMI 2.1 meaning AMD GPUs are currently limited to 4K@60Hz over HDMI on Linux.

I was genuinely thinking about going with an ASUS phone next because of the unlockable bootloader, this really sucks to see.

For me on Arch, Flatpaks are kinda useless. I can maybe see the appeal for other distros but Arch already has up-to-date versions of everything and anything that's missing from the main repos is in the AUR.

I also don't like how it's a separate package manager, they take up more space, and to run things from the CLI it's flatpak run com.website.Something instead of just something. It's super cumbersome compared to using normal packages.

Get FLauncher from the Play Store then either use Button Mapper to make the home button go there or use adb to disable the existing launcher. Completely clean home screen and can be done in a few minutes.

It's funny that you mention Baldur's Gate 3 because the game is blatantly unfinished. Act 1&2 are pretty much 9-10/10 but Act 3 is like a 6/10 at best. I'm surprised it gets a pass where Cyberpunk didn't because in my experience they are equally as buggy. Because of my beefy PC and the scope of the games I think Cyberpunk may have even had less bugs than I've had in BG3. And I played it on release.

In BG3 I have quests breaking, characters not showing up where they should, continuity issues, obvious cut content, etc. I just gave up halfway through Act 3 and started a new playthrough instead because I adore the first half of the game and it makes the latter half that much more disappointing by contrast.

You are being intentionally obtuse. It's not that the thing itself literally does not exist at all, it's that the ownership of ideas is not real. When you steal a physical item the original owner is deprived of that item. When you copy an idea the original "owner" still has access to it.

The derivative code will get compiled. What are they going to do, pick apart the machine code from every game released from now on to see if it somehow matches a chunk from GTA? And then somehow track down and prove that one of the probably dozens of employees who worked on the game looked at this leaked source code? Good luck with that.

A major difference is Manjaro has its own repos which has a tendency to break AUR packages, while EndeavourOS uses the normal Arch repos. Endeavour is pretty much just pre-configured Arch so it bypasses a lot of the issues with security and stability that Manhjaro suffers from.

IMO I still think people should just use vanilla Arch so they can customize everything to the fullest but EndeavourOS is a decent option.

What do you mean too expensive? While the higher-end GPUs are still ridiculous, you can find something like the 6650XT for ~$200 and that is more than enough for 1080p gaming. Meanwhile SSDs and RAM are at an all-time low price because of how cheap NAND flash is. Throw in a previous gen Ryzen 5 or i5 for ~$100 and you could easily build a competent gaming PC for $500. Plus you don't have to pay the $60/year tax for online and get access to Steam sales and mods. And torrents if you're into that.

I have actually been seeing some timestamps that are completely wrong lately, maybe this is why.

The important distinction is that this "database" would be the training data, which it only has access to during training. It does not have access once it is actually deployed and running.

It is easy to think of it like a human taking a test. You are allowed to read your textbooks as much as you want while you study, but once you actually start the test you can only go off of what you remember. Sure you might remember bits and pieces, but it is not the same thing as being able to directly pull from any textbook you want at any time.

It would require you to have a photographic memory (or in the case of ChatGPT, terabytes of VRAM) to be able to perfectly remember the entirety of your textbooks during the test.

For codecs it is highly dependent on the release group. For 4K it is the only valid option, but for 1080p a lot of groups make their x265 encodes too small and sacrifice quality. Take a look at the group rankings in the trash guides for sonarr and radarr for a general idea if who is the best/worst.

As for Tdarr, you should only really use it for audio and subtitle processing. For one you should not re-encode video so unless you're starting with remuxes you're further degrading video that is already degraded. And for two it's best left to the people who know what settings to tweak for each movie or episode. There is no universal setting that works well for everything so while you might be able to get acceptable quality with automation it's never going to be great. The best groups already took the time and effort to get it right so you might as well get those and save yourself the time/electricity.

To be fair we already have giant metal murder boxes zooming around on the streets. If AI kills even a single person everyone flips out even though over 40,000 people die every year in the US from car accidents. And that is just the deaths, not including injuries. Yet I don't really see anyone calling for more regulations on driving tests for humans.

People want AI to somehow be perfect when in reality as long as AI is even 1% better than humans that's saving over 400 lives per year. AI doesn't get sleepy, distracted, drunk, etc. so it probably already is at least 1% better in most situations. Humans are horrible drivers.

The Series X and the PS5 are both roughly around the performance of a 6700XT, possibly lower depending on where you look. Any "4K" that is happening is upscaling. Most games run on the equivalent of low or medium settings, use dynamic resolution, checkerboard rendering, or for big games like Starfield or Elden Ring will run at 30fps.

It's not actually based on the year. There have been 21 other major releases at various intervals starting with 1.0 in 2006. It just happens to be close to the current year right now.

Proton and the Steam Runtime bundle a bunch of different libraries so they all play nice together and are consistent across everybody's machines. There are the obvious things like DXVK and VKD3D, but the Steam Runtime includes basically all of the system files that affect games. It's not quite the same thing but for the sake of simplicity think of it like running in a virtual machine. The Steam Runtime is using libraries from Debian. It is the same concept as docker if you know how that works.

Lutris on the other hand lets you select DXVK and VKD3D versions independently of the wine version, and uses your system's actual libraries rather than the standardized ones. If you're wondering why running Proton inside of Lutris is not working it's because Lutris is missing the Steam Runtime. It's searching for a container that doesn't exist so it can't even start in the first place.

I think you guys are just discussing semantics. Revanced as a project is the patches themselves, so Revanced is open source. But a YouTube app patched with the Revanced patches is not.

You probably haven't gotten to Act 3 yet, the game is extremely CPU bound. I have a Ryzen 9 7950X and while Act 1 and 2 were basically locked to 144fps the entire time, in Act 3 I have seen dips down to the 40s.

VLC is also less accurate to the source than mpv is.

I don't know the full details but this is a quote I have seen from reddit about VLC:

• uses wrong matrix for RGB conversion (results in wrong colors)
• uses point upscaling for chroma planes
• introduces strong banding
• wrong chroma location (MPEG-1 for everything)
• Old subtitle renderer that in more Typesetting heavy situation will say fuck you
• all the other bugs (including some that haven't been fixed in years) make it equally unsuitable media player.

It is probably possible to get things in order by digging into the settings in VLC, but mpv prioritizes accuracy by default.

The point isn't how good they look, the point is that it's not actually 4K. You can run your PC games at 1080p on a 4K screen and get the same experience. That's what DLSS and FSR are already doing. And if both are $500 it's not a fraction of the price it's the same price. Actually over time PC is cheaper because you're not paying $60/year for online.

After 5 years your $500 console actually cost $800. That's $300 you could have spent on more games or on a stronger GPU that can maybe actually run higher resolutions or higher framerates. At the end of the day consoles are the illusion of a good value. It is smoke and mirrors.

Yeah from what I'm seeing it's not that they're scamming their customers it looks like a compliance problem. Things like getting not proper ID and allowing illegal and/or foreign transactions.
