Sheriff Lamb, a frequent guest on the right-wing media circle and harsh critic of the Biden administration’s border policies, gave the only conceivable answer: “Look, it gets dark every night.”

I wanted this for my dog, but instead she chewed the toy into nothing but a scrap of cloth that eventually disappeared

Ngl, that actually sounds pretty good

I don't know your specifics, but implementing adequate security and being mildly infuriating often go hand in hand by necessity.

Reddit may not track that, which isn't a defense against GDPR violations.

I've read different defenses for JavaScript for cases like this, which usually runs somewhere from you shouldn't be doing that anyway all the way up to if you just understood the language better you'd know why. While I agree with both of those points strongly as general principles, JavaScript also violates the principle of least surprise enough to make it concerning.

For what it's worth, I do like JavaScript. I really don't think that there is any perfect programming language.

Does bigotry just go hand-in-hand with people being willing to step on other people to get ahead?

I'm pretty sure that's the main point of bigotry

You're going to wear this out to the bars and clubbing, right?

You misspelled "thirty years".

Let me grab a couple of coconuts to clap together and it's on.

How exactly would that work? Keep in mind that the blockchain is by necessity not secret.

Plus all that stuff Einstein went on about, curved space time and stuff.

Your first example isn't actually using the present tense, it is using the infinitive form "to lead".

You may just need to adjust the sensitivity of the safety reverse on the door, but to reiterate what everybody else is saying, working on garage doors tends to fall squarely into the camp of "if you have to ask, you need to hire a professional". I do a lot of DIY around my home the garage doors are something that I won't touch for anything but the most basic adjustments.

If you are taking enhancement requests, dropping the title of the video into the comment would be handy

Sounds like she must have gotten caught stealing from rich people for it to have been that much. You'll get in trouble for that anywhere. You may not get the death penalty but you may die in prison.

Wouldn't they be knee high high heels? They are knee high, and the heels are high.

I'm not going to go down the route of arguing whether or not the bank should allow it to be easy to change your email address, but if somebody has compromised your email with the intention of compromising your other accounts, they are going to change the email addresses and passwords on those accounts before you have a chance to react, and you're going to be on the phone with each one of those institutions anyway. You don't hear a lot of this happening anyway, because it's usually a lot safer to con somebody out of their money than it is to smash and grab out of their accounts, and probably as easy if not easier.

As for the sporting goods store, I can imagine a couple of reasons for their decision, but it probably has as much to do with spamming your email as it does security, if it has anything to do with security at all.

A 401k lets you make money on the part that would have otherwise gone to taxes. Can you show an example with numbers where paying tax up front comes out ahead of paying tax at the end?

I mean, that would just be adding a little mint to your salad. How bad could it be?

Windows on the front end and Linux on the backend isn't uncommon these days. Big iron unix is expensive so it was largely moved off of, although there is still some Windows in the back end depending on vendor. I think Epic is Windows across all tiers.

I'd like to see the research.

Fair, I haven't used Rust so I don't really have an opinion on it.

Unfortunately, this is a weak security practice that really is used everywhere.

This we can agree on.

Go on

I think I agree with you both. I'm not a Node developer; could you keep your SQL objects/components in a separate file so that they don't clutter up other logic?

I completely missed the letter f the first time through as well...

Makes sense

VHS is video.

Backing up all the data is just good disaster recovery. I don't have any insider information either, but I would be more surprised if they don't have at least one off site backup of everything ever on the site. At least anything textual, but probably media as well

Feels a bit like they're trying to put the horse back in the barn. If it's only by prescription at the federal level, they may use that as legitimacy to crack down on recreational use and make it harder to get it for medical use.
