Call me Smithy. Or Bait, everyone else does, even though that's not my name. My pronouns are she/her. Human rights for everyone. If scamming is an industry then scambaiting is an anti-capitalist obligation.

From a business perspective, the bottom line is: if you're treating people who've paid you money worse than people who haven't, you're doing something very wrong.

eBay not only blacklisted me but also my home address for presenting "a risk to our eBay community" when all I have ever done was buy a USB cable. Just one. Once.

Nice to see they have their priorities straight. /s

Wait, I'm confused. The site you linked says that FLAC files are typically larger than mp3s?

Ediited to add: Not sure why I'm being downvoted for trying to seek knowledge. Guess that's what happens when you try to better yourself. Oh well.

Edited to further add: This question has been answered, thanks all. :)

Are you ok, friend?

Nope, I was logging into my eBay account to check on when my cable would be delivered and got a big message saying my account's been suspended. Emailed them and they said I needed to call them. Called them and they said my account's been suspended and my home address has been blacklisted. I asked why, and they said they had nothing more to tell me.

Literally the only thing I have ever done on eBay is search for and buy one USB cable, one time.

Just curious, what's a flac?

I mean, it's not the best choice… 😎

Wow this video's freezing badly, YouTube must be having a bit of a bad time. Guess I'll be yt-dlping this one to watch later. :)

Don't be ridiculous. There's no such thing as satellites, they can't possibly exist. What do you think they do, hang them from the firmament?! That's just crazy talk. This man clearly has no idea what he's on about.

(in case it wasn't obvious, /joke)

I'd recommend Gnosia, a visual novel themed entirely around time loops. The presence of Steins;Gate and Majora's Mask on your list make me think you'll enjoy it.

Also: Life Is Strange can have time loops depending on the decisions you make and how you choose to play the game. And there's one segment in the Two Whales that I think you will really really enjoy.

I'd be more inclined to trust a turtle.

Citation...?

Edit: Thanks for citing your sources :)

Fun fact: When you check a book out of your local public library, the publisher gets a small royalty. I have no insider knowledge but I suspect a similar arrangement is their endgame here.

Visual Studio. You can buy it for mid- to high-three figures, or you can use the nerfed version of VS Code (or, better yet, VSCodium) for free. In practice, most people pay a monthly subscription and never actually own it.

That's really helpful, thanks!

I live in the UK haven't had any joy downloading Channel 4 content for my own personal use... I don't even intend to pirate it, I just wanna watch it in bed. Their digital restrictions management is ridiculous.

You mean GOG, not GoG. The O stood for Old. :)

Sure?

Oh so THIS is why YouTube is slow today. I thought it was just Google failing to keep up with Xmas Day demand!

Guess I'll just yt-dlp some vids to watch later, then :)

As an alternative to the other suggestion: use cheats to teleport yourself to Freeside. You can google "Fallout New Vegas console commands" to find many guides showing you how. You'll miss out on a lot of the tutorials (which I'd definitely recommend if you're new to the game), but Freeside (and, eventually, the New Vegas strip) might capture your interest a little better than the big empty.

Edited to add: Cheats do take a lot of fun out of the game so I wouldn't recommend you use them extensively, but if you're having trouble getting engaged, this is one possibility.

FitoTrack on Android and OutRun on IOS are good alternatives. Both are totally free.

There are free VPNs out there such as ProtonVPN. :)
