Rust or bust

Piped is great, the content goes through a proxy so there's no interaction with YouTube servers and your account and subscriptions are also isolated.

No content is loading for me

Svelte decided to ditch it because it became impractical due to the compilation step slowing down development and making debugging their compiler harder. I think for libraries it makes sense to go the jsdoc way as long as consumers can choose typescript.

I use Hetzner and it's really good imo

I doubt this is directed at ifixit. I agree with their general comment, but at the same time device manufacturers have no incentive to make their devices last longer unless they are forced to.

Imagine not having a backup of your files 😳

Can confirm. The only deterrent is the potential for an random bag check by an employee but that never happened to me in years of using self checkout. Some shops have a worker over watching a dozen of stations to help out or just identify suspicious behavior but it's very unintrusive.

My phone has exactly this (oneplus 9 pro) but it works only when there is a full moon and the next Friday is the thirteen's day of the month, plus some other unknown requirements

Been using SwiftKey for years (since the very beggining, probably 10 yrs at this point) and it always had very good predictive performance (i.e AI in its own right).

You can of course export your yt subscriptions as a CSV file and import them into Piped, and you can also use a difference instance to host your account/data as the one you're using to stream the content. Did I mention built-in sponsorblock support and native apps like LibreTube?

I think a Google Pixel 6A would pretty much tick all of the boxes, especially when it comes to alternative ROMs, but only has 128GB of storage without SD Card. It's rated IP67 so should be ok for getting a bit wet.

Is one of these free (license-wise) and open source?

Go has its fair share of design problems and is not as memory efficient due to its garbage collector. Also it will probably always be linked to Google in some way.

Svelte is a happy middle ground between vue/react and SolidJS which is maybe too bleeding edge still

Our Lord and Saviour Nix

Jellyfin never worked great for me on my older tablet and chromecast. Always struggled with either unsupported codecs or just buffering to hell. My plex server is also on somewhat limited hardware and jellyfin could never transcode fast enough, where plex has no issue.

I got a kobo recently and noticed bad performance with some epubs, very slow loading times and page flips. If I convert the file kepub with calibre (requires a plugin) then it's super fast but I don't think there is calibre for phones.

I'm trying to get my work to switch to bun but we have packages in a private AWS codeartifact repo. Does it support this? I tried to use it with our npmrc file but it couldn't install those packages.

I've never seen that video sharing website but it takes 20 seconds of buffering on my fiber Gbps internet until it plays. The first uncached page load added a good 5 seconds. Anyone else having a similar experience?

I haven't blocked reddit and can access it just fine. I'm not sure how to inspect the source on Firefox mobile though.

Neon explained it better than I ever could! I hope their answer satisfies you

Been using this for a few months and now I don't know how I lived without it before.

I get something similar in Switzerland for maybe a bit more expensive (27CHF) but it's truly unlimited and unthrottled and even includes some roaming data in other European countries.

Note that the "plus" suffix doesn't hide your real email, that's a small but notable difference. I could well see websites parsing for +.. patterns and removing them before selling your data.

Here are the same queries with Kagi (I was interested to see the difference)

OK I can see how that would be better for biking.

A static up is not required for a telegram bot as the telegram api acts as an intermediary with the clients.

Try both, but personally I had trouble with playback on my older android tablet with jellyfin and so I went with plex which works for me.

It's pretty nice. It's just a very simple front that will add a series or movie to radarr or sonarr. Not great for discovering new stuff but the search works well to find stuff you're looking for. No complaints from my side!

I'm on lemm.ee using wefwef and had zero problems in the past few days since I started using it. I think most of the problems come from the instance that hosts your account rather than the frontend of wefwef.

If your domain is registered with cloudflare, they have an amazing tunnelling service that is free to point your domain to your own device at home!

Yeah the colors come from the os, my keyboard shows the monochrome one when I pick it. That was all very interesting!

I reported the bug to Proton support and they said they are investigating but suggested I uninstall and reinstall the extension. I did and lo, my forms started working again. I can recommend you try to uninstall and reinstall too (disabling it was not enough).

Thanks for the clarification! My assumptions were wrong ^^ although I saw once a lady who tried to leave without paying, but the worker noticed and they spent a good 5 minutes convincing her to put in cash into the machine, which apparently she had but had to look for in her bag for a looong time.

I thought so too, the main problem I found mentioned online is a file with only one chapter for the whole book. But mine was fine and was an official publication. I even tried a repair tool to no avail. Converting did the trick though.
