Aronofsky seems fitting. This should be as bleak as Requiem for a Dream.

Sweet, then I can pre-boil water the day before, freeze it down and bring it on a plane, so that I have boiling water mid flight.

I run Calyx on a Fairphone 4. I am very satisfied with it. I have a single app that breaks (a banking app - doesn't pass SafetyNet I presume, but I don't get any help understanding the problem other than a generic "Something went wrong" error). All other Google Play apps I have installed has worked, and have been installed through Aurora Store. This has had some ups and downs in terms of performance - there was an issue some time back where their accounts were rate limited to the point the store was unusable for some time. So if you are very dependent on accessing Google Play store, you should keep that in mind. I try to find FOSS apps I get through F-Droid when I can and only use apps from Google Play when I have no other choice. Mind you, I have not logged in to a Google account to access any paid apps through the Play Store, so I don't know how well that works.

Android Auto I don't think you will get to work though.

I'm sick - possibly covid. Been knocked out for about six days already, so I hope I'll be well enough to go on a planned trip on Friday.

Have you considered LunarVim?

When I was toying around with making my own voice assistant, I used Mimic 3 and found that to have quite nice voices.

Why wait?

This looks cool, didn't know it was still going strong. Last time I played Freelancer (vanilla) was during my military duty almost 15 years ago, when stuck on night duty. Brought it in and played with some of the other soldiers. It was a fun time, but we didn't get too much into it then unfortunately.

I tried something similarily, although I stopped when there was some filtering rules I couldn't figure out. This thread has inspired me to take that up again.

Main advantages of this I would say:

  1. No endless scrolling as you say
  2. No cheap tricks (blinking red capital letters screaming BREAKING NEWS at you)
  3. No falling for the headline switcheroo - you see each article once. You might miss some updates in an article, but they are usually minor and when something big happens it tends to generate many articles anyway. If it's really important, you will see it.
  4. Certain RSS clients (like Fluent Reader) allow you to view articles in app, which allows you to skip visiting the newsite altogether. Doesn't work with paywalls, though.

I feel you. I've been spending a long time doing the same. I wanted to also clean up my digital footprint by requesting account deletion and data erasure (thanks to GDPR that is actually possible), however some companies make it extremely difficult to do this.

I've liked my thermal tights from 2XU. Had them since 2014, and used in negative Cs (maybe down to -5C?). Feels very chilly when you first go out, but then gets quite comfortable once you get running.

I can't run outside myself until Spring now myself - suffering from runner's knee now and slowly recovering, but it can still start hurting in the middle of a run. Having to stop to walk back in the middle of a run is not ideal when it's cold outside and you are dressed for running and not walking.

Ah, that explains it. I removed the "Start time" field for tasks because I never used it, and then forgot about it.

That's pretty cool! I just started playing Star Fox Adventures today, so funny coincidence that this popped up in my feed today.

How can you control duration of calendar entries?
