I tried watching a video of his once because I was genuinely interested in the subject. There were so many jump cuts it was unwatchable. Now I know all YouTube videos for kids are like that

Disputing a CVE is no straightforward task either, as a GitHub security team member explained. It requires a project maintainer to chase the CVE Numbering Authorities (CNA) that had originally issued the CVE.

CNAs have conventionally comprised NIST's NVD and MITRE. Over the past few years, technology companies and security vendors joined the list and are also able to issue CVEs at will.

These seems like an issue worth addressing. If it's too easy to report and too difficult to dispute, I could see the CVE ecosystem be weaponized and turned into a political tool.

Software updates have, more than once, changed my settings for things like autopilot without warning, and I've only discovered it when driving and turning autopilot on.

I feel like this point can't be overstated enough. When I need to go somewhere, I shouldn't need to reorient myself because the car receives software updates all the time. A device that's constantly changing is inherently unreliable, even if technically it's improving over time.

This apps seems to be poorly rated. What has your experience been?

There seems to be little information online about the organization who runs it, Exchange Initiative. They have an inactive Facebook account and an abandoned website. I don't see myself using this without having more assurance on its efficacy and privacy policies

A high static number, like $100/week. The people who live closer will get a little extra and that's fine (a mild incentive)

Did you know one of the most translated articles on Wikipedia is none other than American actor Corbin Bleu?

I quite like Around The World by Daft Punk (directed by Michel Gondry of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind fame). I guess "impressive" isn't the primary word I'd use to describe it but thought it was worth a mention

If you look at their Glassdoor you'll see many complaints about their reorgs. Wonder if that's related at all

Any word on if people teleport to their employer like the last game? I felt like that kinda ruined the experience

I’m on my phone 8 hours a day.

That is generally not good and shouldn't be common. I'd argue folks should consider whether a nice phone will lead to overuse, and if so, buying a cheaper phone.

Ok I'll limit myself to saying something horrible to every other month. Then I can keep getting away with it forever

I played high-end games I couldn't otherwise play, often at a discount, and then they refunded me at the end anyway. Pretty sweet deal

To combat this generally, you can buy one with more RAM. Also, right now there is a bit of a "race to the top" for longest phone support with Google announcing 7 years of support in November. Repairability is coming around too, which is great for replacing old batteries and broken charging ports.

Automated translations are inherently flawed. It would have been better to open up community translation submissions

If people didn't do this it would happen faster. Not everyone has the luxury of immediately switching, just like the "move to another state" argument

How will it be distributed?

I think there's some misconceptions about this that need to be cleared up. If you don't want it and you've already moved away from the section, the best thing to do is take it to the register and say you don't want it. Then what typically happens is it gets put in a take-back cart and the employees take care of it

I watched a YouTube video several years ago that discussed how Mr. Bean live streams and compilations have flooded YouTube despite the original series not being that long. I can't find the video because the search results are indeed flooded with these

Pixel 2 XL was my favorite phone and still works. I'm still on a Pixel 5 because of the physical fingerprint sensor

When interviewing try to show genuine interest in the job and research to ask good questions. Care about it in the moment, then try to emotionally disconnect afterwards

Also, where is the crypto magic?

The sixth point in the original comment links to the cryptocurrency association.

Have you watched it recently? Doesn't hold up in my opinion

On Google Play, Insight Timer has 5M+ downloads and is Editors' Choice. It is not a small app, and it's constantly trying to get you to pay for premium. I have never cared about or noticed low quality audio until trying to use this app. It's been a very weird experience trying to relax and noticing how poor the recordings sound. I assume this is another upsell thing

Reminder that the KC police department is controlled by the state of Missouri instead of the city. Only major city of its kind: https://missouriindependent.com/2023/01/10/state-control-of-kansas-citys-police-has-roots-in-the-civil-war/

Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to be critical of you. I know some people can't actually reduce their screen time due to their job or way of life. I'm curious though, could you elaborate on what you mean by this being healthier for you?

Unfortunately Dozer isn't great for Macs with a notch as it only folds out horizontally, whereas Bartender can fold out a menu below

At that price point I'd recommend looking at used or refurbished units that are still in good condition. I like using Swappa for used devices

Since it's not mentioned, I use Before Launcher to help reduce phone usage. It still has some customization, folders, and a notification filter to block out noise.

Several forks of PDS have added rate limiting. I used this one and I didn't see any drops. Though it's quite slow with its 5 second delay.

Looks like there's Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 units that are below $900. I've heard good things about that line. Make sure to watch/read plenty of reviews before pulling the trigger though

Should probably try to set a few more parameters to narrow your search, like RAM and storage. I'd recommend an SSD and if you like large games opt for 1 TB or more

I feel like moderation is a failure point can't be overstated enough that one goes into my control at all since that's when I use any water
