Reddit is still a lot more crowded, but I prefer Lemmy simply because of no ads and the actual conversations that you can have with people.

This ain't just Google. SEO effectively killed all search engines. As an IT guy who's been googling shit before I was 10, I can't find shit anymore.

How and why tf do you get 27+ hours of SoT????

It feels like these huge ass companies are just testing people's reactions before they do something these days.

Crazy to think that even the newest Pixels can't cast to any device unless you specifically have Chromecast support, which most of the TVs don't. I can cast my Samsung or iPhone just fine tho

Most book sellers on the Internet roam around, buy used books, cut them to make them look new and then sell it as new.

This is the first repost I saw on Lemmy. We’re going places folks!

Tbf Tensors suck ass

If you're on linux just use scp

Inhumane

This really depends on what you prefer. I've used Moto phones before and Moto gestures are a great addition. Motorola also keeps the UI clean, where even the Pixels have non removable UI elements on the home screen such as the Google search bar and at a glance widget. Though camera wise, pixels are the way to go for the price segment. But the pixel 8a is just not worth the $500 price tag at least in the US.

Sadly this is how I feel too. Everything is trying to squeeze a dime out of my eyes. Man I don't even buy shit unless I absolutely need it.

Easy to say, but what will all those senators and government people do without their cuts??

No shit

I think you can filter out Quora results using uBlock, but you need to Google it so, good luck haha

Life sucks. But it can change a lot in a year if you try.

You're telling me this game is releasing now?

What brand are you using? Never had this issue with Pixels or Samsungs.

Well for the first time ever I started seeing "all-in" pricing on TicketMaster. So not sure how true that Onion articel was but it's funny.

If you're on Android, try Instagram lite. Still works without ads.

I've seen a few people mention exactly what you said, so either it's Google A/B testing some dumb shit, or it's because you haven't been using Google the same way I have in the past. I don't just look for information that is objective, few years back, Google was very good at providing links to articles with steps to do X. Nowadays it always redirects me to sites where words related to X are mentioned the most, rather than providing useful information.

Now compare Chrome with Firefox with a bunch of privacy and adblock extensions ;)

Or better yet, try it on a device with an up-to-date chip that actually has some processing power and see that there would be no long term difference.

This is the issue though. I subscribed to chatgpt plus hoping it would do the work for me, but chatgpt (although it understands a lot) still fails to tell me what I need by 'browsing the web'. I also tried every other known search engine out there but sadly the results are very similar (ddg, bing). So I feel like I'm trapped in a loop where I can't get out.

Exclusives, simplicity, ease of use. I had a gaming PC, but switched to the PS5 only because I realized I've been using my PC like a PS5. I only play like fifa and gta now since most new games don't even excite me anymore.

With this approach every purchase is a gamble

A lot of things, which is why you need to do your own research. Chatgpt can answer pretty much all your questions.
