To me it looks like an over estimation of the capabilities for the tech. Same kind of thinking that led to lawyers submitting fake cases as support in court. The current tech can be useful but has to be verified and generally tweaked a bit to be good enough. It certainly has room for improvement in quality and just not lying. Real world use has some copyright questions with what the training data was. Applying it to something creative is questionable and more or less feels like uninspired remixes.

Also the whole graphic is kinda suspect to me when "Blockchain engineers" is a job category and it's produced by an org working on AI.

It mainly lost it appeal as crashes, arrests, lawsuits, and thief keep happeneding. It was shown to be scammy with scammers scamming.

And yeah the new hotness of LLMs also helped. The tech bros who use to be pushing "X but with crypto" are now looking to push "X but with AI".

The internet can often never forget but things do get wiped out when sites go under. Think about random forums from a decade ago with dead links or images that aren't hosted anymore.

Some tweets actually get backed up by the Library of Congress so some percentage of voices are probably preserved.

The rule in effect is rather narrow and doesn't actually ban home manufacturing. All the elements of a kit are still accessible and legal.

The only difference is that all the parts to finish the controlled part can't be sold together. So like you could by the 80% from one shop online and the jig from a different shop online. All the other parts wouldn't be affected in general, maybe an issue if sold with the 80%. And there are also other ways to do home manufacturing that would be completely unaffected but the rule.

Also the case isn't done. The order is a temporary stay where the court is asking the ATF lawyers to explain things.

I think the first step is generally establishing communication first. Like they might learn signs by touch. Later they could be taught braille in order to read.

If that kind of content was allowed here I'd delete my account. No, one wants that kind of trouble.

So what you're saying is that I can already spin up extra LLCs and get extra ballots?

RFK Jr is an anti-vax and conspiracy theory nut. DeSantis is basically the home schooled version of Trump.

DeSantis vs RFK Jr wouldn't really be much of an improvement. Just a different flavor of shit. Like lemon flavored shit instead of lime flavored shit.

They're removing more mods for staying dark or malicious compliance shenanigans. Whatever is left after this will be shells and shills.

On one hand people often don't like to hear bad news or an idea that means they have to do a thing or face a problem. On the other hand how a person is told the idea is a big part of a negative reaction. Often there is no reason to tell someone the thing at all.

I'll be straight forward if someone asks but I'm not "brutality honest". OP sounds like the "brutality honest" without anyone asking type.

Casual users probably just want shit to work and didn't know about the black out until it was happening. They won't notice why they should care until their app of choice goes offline or communities start falling apart due to modding issues. The issues coming from mods being pushed out, leaving, or having fewer tools.

I mean these sites aren't going to implement anything like they want in these laws and few people are going to be up for using such a system. Yeah, they're just going to throw up a block and remove liability. Then people who know will just VPN.

I could see the industry using some system that's already built and free but not really develop one or take on more issues with personal information. Good luck with the government made browser extension that tracks your preferences though.

That is really the only reason they've done anything in the past about subs. That or the risk of actual legal trouble.

Similar things happened to jailbait and thedonald. Without media attention those subs would probably still be active.

After the meeting a few of the smart ones asked for clarification over email to get it writing.

Are you on the younger side? Generally younger people want to be older mostly to be able to do more adult things or have the things in life older people have built over time.

Getting older isn't just looks although that is just a matter of personal preference. There are health concerns and things like lower energy. Taking care of yourself helps a ton but sometimes you get bad genetics or some kind of aliment anyway. And age will eventually catch up with most people.

I do still recommend things like exercise so you can feel 30 at 60 instead of 60 at 30.

Full-auto isn't banned? Are you sure you know what laws are needed if you don't know the current laws?

How might it be different from something like Citrix? Just an official way to do it? Maybe some integration with hosting?

One aspect you might have to separate is the gun control advocates who just want to cite another reason for X or Y policies. Those people aren't necessarily advocating for mental health.

As an example take waiting periods. They might do something for first time buyers but the policy doesn't really make sense for the people who already have a safe full of guns to pick from. I don't hear those people talk about programs like "hold my guns" either.

People use stuff like Alexa or Google home mostly as a voice activated timer, weather reporter, or speaker. If they have light bulbs maybe they use it that too. It can also be handy for voice activated controls for a movie if it can connect to something like a fire stick.

Most people don't actually know what might be involved in terms of privacy concerns. They see the convenance of tech or something that's neat. A vast majority of people simply aren't doing things like uninstalling Google apps or know what a GPL refers to.

There are open source and local versions of home automation and voice assistants.

I have Alexa because it was on sale and useful to me. I don't really think out loud and can unplug the thing if I want to talk about unionizing. When I replace things or buy new ones I'll be keeping in mind compatibility with open source or local solutions. Alexa does integrate with a lot of stuff though. I do think it will be discontinued at some point. Amazon loses money on the product and it hasn't been increasing sales like they hoped. No one trusts the damn thing to buy crap off Amazon for them.

They wouldn't delete your money just because they don't like you.

They'd "arrest" your money for some crime that may or may not be legit. Paperwork and people getting their cut would be involved.

Not typical but not a bad idea if you're broke and trying to save enough on the energy bill to afford instant ramen next week.

As for annoying I'm guessing the annoying part is talking about it or asking people to change habits. You could also put in work to improve rates passively. Like improving the insulation of the home or filling gaps around windows. Note: Don't do noisy diy projects in the same room as your wife or leave a mess.

A lot of laws about weapons aren't really about anything actually happening or dangers. Often it's about perceptions people have or actually about trying to target a group politicians don't like.

That's how bailsongs and switch blades got restricted in a lot of states. Also why suppressors or short barreled firearms are regulated like hand grenades.

If you're not getting interviews then the issue probably has to do your resume. Maybe formatting. Maybe the contents or job history. Have you been out of work for a long time? Lack newer tools/knowledge? Too much job hopping?

If you are getting interviews then the resume and where you're applying is fine. Either you're probably lacking in soft skills, interview skills, or not impressing them. There could also be a mismatch between the salary you want and what they want to offer.

If you're expecting 100 hour plus experiences in open worlds or detailed campaigns like AAA titles for $30-60 then there aren't that many. There are still good titles. Might want to check out steam and see what's popular in their VR section. Maybe see what has longer play times if that is what you're interested in.

Often time scammers put a few typos and whatnot into initial contact to weed out smarter people. Mainly if the scam is going to involve phone calls or something. Scams just trying to get passwords or infect your computer might try harder to look legit.

If the vegan is there for ethics then cultivated meat should be all good. More ethical than cheese or leather anyway.

Maybe some will complain about the source of the starter cells or something.

Some people like the idea but to me that only makes sense if you are basically doing the nomad thing at a cheap location. You'd want to stay in the place for awhile as you're still spending most of the "vacation" working all day. On your days off you could do more. On an actual vacation you would actually be enjoying yourself the whole time. Traveling to just spend all your time working seems like a waste.

Also just try to work on just a laptop for a week. It sucks. I'm not doing that.

Legit that would depend on how cheap the labor was and how long they need to pay them. Like shitty pay outsource labor to keep up appearances for a week or two could be a thing.

The plan could be to get IPO then dump stock before anyone realizes the entire mod team depends on Google translate.

Well, it's a bullshit argument. Do the "nothing to hide" people shit with all the doors and windows open or on a video stream? Do the "nothing to hide" people freely give out their bank details or nudes?

There is absolutely no reason to assume the government can be trusted to keep your private info private. If anything there is good reason to assume it won't be or it will be used against you. Maybe there is a leak or someone gets into power that shouldn't.

From a legal perspective it doesn't make any sense either. Political winds change governments and laws. Things you feel will always be legal may not be in the future. We could easily have a red scare 2.0 or get fascism in power.

Society changes as well. How many people are fucked over by online activity or picture from a decade ago? Lots of common social stances have not aged well. Crap kids say or document online will begin to affect them as an adult. Look at how some people target lgbt groups just for existing.

I think some people just assume people they disagree with are bots.

My main point about an AWB in relation to suicides was more that people aren't using those kinds of weapons for suicide. The kind weapons these laws are trying to describe aren't even commonly used in crimes. The main reason they're talking about assault weapons now days is because targeting handguns first kinda stalled. That and the marketing works better for them.

There are things they could do that would be effective but it would be other left wing policies that would address root causes. The issue with that is those things seem to be even more of a lip service thing and it's kinda hard to bumper sticker that shit.

They found work in the state and the state has a lower cost of living. The reverse is actually why a fair number of people were moving out of other states.

@crow Not really sure how someone faking it would expect things to work out. Someone could decide they could get a bunch of clout and followers by faking it. But at some point they get shown to be a fraud then they lose any following they had. Are the people who claim to have discovered something notable before this or could they just be riding a wave for a min for a quick buck? I guess there have been cases in more proper scientific circles of faked results.

Reporting on it is kinda whatever as that's kinda just talking about what someone else claimed.

Another possibility is that some other mechanism is at work or there is a fault in the test setup. At that point the person making the claim could be wrong but not necessarily aware of it. Maybe due to a lack of knowledge.

The main issue is that the Republican party has tied themselves to single issue voters and the kind of religious people who support a ban. They need those voting blocks to keep getting elected.

For a single issue voter their pet issue is the only thing that matters. They will vote based on that one issue alone. There are a few issues like that but anti-abortion is a big one. If the Republican party dropped it they stand to loose a lot of votes and thus elections. No, they wouldn't necessarily attract a lot of pro-choice people. Maybe a few if the person is mostly conservative but was pro-choice.

The reasons someone would actually support a ban on it basically comes down to how they view it as morally wrong. Almost always it is based on the person's religious views.

I could see some features they might want like texts not counting as an SMS or higher quality pics. Using an app fixes those issues so is whatever. Not texting at all is agreeable but don't expect me to reach out...

Blood isn't everything. The ex's mom was a decent person and treated you well. Blood relatives don't always do that. Sometimes they're so awful it even makes sense to go no contact. Sometimes their actions are literally criminal. On the flip side there are friends that are basically family and people who adopt.

What you felt with the ex's mom was real as anything. Don't listen to people who say otherwise. The blood relatives who said it was fake were being manipulative or saying something based on being manipulated.

A heat pump is basically a reverse air conditioner and works on the same principles. Same principles as a refrigerator too. Really such devices should be built to do both things more often.

This video goes into how they work.

Over time that subscriber section has become less prominent. At one time it was the way to find content you wanted to see. I think most people now just use the feed YouTube gives you.

Subscribing does seem to affect the algorithm. If nothing else it should help the creator pay the bills so you can keep getting videos from them.

It's generally the company actually selling the product, if anyone is actually liable at all. It would be rare for any developer to be held liable unless someone was actually malicious.

The use of generated code doesn't really change anything if someone is going to claim ownership and the liability generally isn't related to code anyway.

I expect you got down votes because whatever posts showed up on feeds for people that disagreed with the idea. The default home page is basically pulling posts from everywhere so it's not just people looking for that niche that will see the post.

People often disagree with things that are fringe and when you post something online you open yourself up to criticism. Personally I would also disagree with the idea but I don't think here is the place to get all debaty about it. I'm sure anyone can find the criticisms with a quick Google search along with debunking of claims about such practices.
