I have two Bosch dishwashers and have been very happy with them so far. Avoid Samsung appliances at all costs.

That's because us power users know to turn the telemetry off and also have it blocked on our network.

Pass on the fridge. I have the same one and it will freeze the ones in the back if you don't leave a space between the back of the fridge and your drinks. I can only fill it about 2/3 of the way or it doesn't work very well. I've considered adding a fan inside, and I've even powered a USB fan off a battery pack and it made a big difference.

Here's your issue. Your selinux contexts are bad so you're probably being denied access to your own data. To reset the contexts back to normal you can use the restorecon command:

restorecon -Rv /home/

The -R tells it to go through the specified path recursively, the v tells it to be verbose in the output and show you what it's doing.

Definitely not from the team working on search on Windows then.

Same here. I used the paid version sync for reddit for years and got my money's worth out of it. When the incident happened I switched to infinity and, while annoyed, I definitely felt I got my worth out of it. When ljdawson released sync for lemmy and added the ad-free upgrade I happily purchased it and I have been very satisfied with the app and all the improvements he is continually making. This is all coming from a hardcore open source 20+ years of Linux on the desktop guy.

Wayland is the future. X11's future is dead. Unfortunately there are still some growing pains. Xwayland mostly works but I have issues with it sometimes.

Sex toys. My collection is worth more than my car.

This so true. I've had some quotes for Splunk over the years and every one I get is so ridiculously expensive that it can't even be considered.

I read that too. I think the 2500 model had the highest rate.

On mine it is permanently ∞.

I hope the Nude Raider mod gets updated too.

It was one of the greatest decisions we have ever made. We cut out my wife's parents and siblings. They're all raging narcissists and cutting the toxicity has greatly improved our lives. Our only regret is not doing it sooner.

I definitely don't need this but I want it so bad.

I know someone that used to work at Fred Meyer and one of her duties was to take the bag recycling around the back of the store and put it in the dumpster.

And the units should be consistent. It drives me nuts when I'm in a store and the unit varies across different sizes of the same product.

Yep, this is exactly it. When 3g was going away and 4g was starting up, T-Mobile pulled the same thing trying to brand their UMTS stuff as 4g when it's clearly a 3g protocol. You can always rely on the marketers to lie until the end of time.

I see you've spoken to my in-laws.

I can't believe they're up to 40. I remember installing Fedora Core 1 like it was yesterday. Yum (and now dnf) has come a long way. It used to have to individually retrieve metadata files for every available package, rather than using a single compressed index of all the packages available in the repository you were using. It made just getting to the stage where dependencies were calculated take forever.

Their servers and storage systems are absolute garbage.

I miss a lot of the niche hobby subs, the non-image sex related subs, justrolledintotheshop, *swap subs, and some of the *sales subs. I have other forums where I can fulfill some of these and it was nice to have them all in one place.

I know someone that had a similar thing happen. The driver drove off the road and crashed into his yard, taking out a large rhododendron. The company insurance on the van was more than a year out of date and they were really fishy to deal with.

Check out btop. It's another system monitor like htop but it has a bit more info and I've been pretty impressed with it.

I miss the good ' ol FCKGW-RHQQ2-YXRKT-8TG6W-2B7Q8 days.

Awesome! Enjoy!

You could run jellyfin on your desktop and use that to stream shows to your tablet. Or VLC works for connecting to network file shares and you could play from that.

I got some pretty cool holographic metal slammers right at the tail end.

Use the pacrepairfile utility and you can set them to the distro shipped permissions easily https://man.archlinux.org/man/pacrepairfile.1

That's why Monica's raising the bar like she always has.

I don't understand it either. Unfortunately, I know quite a lot of people in my personal life that are terrible with money like that. A lot of people grew up in families with terrible financial sense and then they bring that with them into adulthood. Some people eventually figure it out but by that time they're pretty late on getting their retirement planning going.

Hairy armpits on women are the best.

Most of them are high end silicone toys from Bad Dragon and Mr Hankey's toys and hold their value quite well. I purchased around 80% of them on the used market and can turn around and sell them for about the same amount so the depreciation hit is minimal.

Hopefully Green Bell G-1008 nail clippers. They're significantly better than any clippers I've used before. They'd make the mowing process much better.

It could be a regional outage. Something like duckduckgo isn't going to be run from a single location so the individual experiences are going to vary.

A bad SATA cable will cause this too.

Yakuake. I've been using it for more than a decade and love it.

That'll give you the same level experience as a $450,000 space flight on Virgin Galactic so I'd say you're doing alright.
