The question here isn't "will this work".

The question is "what will it take to make this work"

I know you didn't want to, but I'll bet two navidrome instances will be faster and lighter than JF or Plex.

How does ente photos compare to immich?

Exactly as right as half of Americans

What is this supposed to have meant?

I didn't pre order. I waited for review embargo to lift, then I bought it today.

This isn't "early access", this is Bethsda squeezing money out of game pass subscribers

I went Debian without a Desktop for my server. I later installed a desktop for the occasion that I need it. But mostly, I use SSH

Syncthing. I frequently ROM my phone, and the first app I always grab is Syncthing.

This is what I do. But my wife has an iPhone, and can't.

I also want it on desktop

Unless you pirate.

Or buy it in a one time payment.

In fact, you're pretty much the product in every one of these examples, even if you pay

10 years ago was the time to start, too.

Imagine a Linux-like OS for mobile as a reasonable 3rd mobile operating system. People would run it and seem weird like when people run Linux on their laptop nowadays. 1-2% market share. Basically nothing is native to it but a handful of open source apps, but waydroid would be more complete. That would be beautiful.

Shoot. Imagine a reasonably new phone running something Linux with a shell laptop that lets you properly converge. Linux has the best ARM support because basically anything can be complied.

Those are some... odd specs.

1TB NVME, OLED with an Intel N CPU?

Send weird for it to be named with a k

My office got mad at me for pointing that out.

I kept doing it.

I don't think you're supposed to host music you don't have the rights to. I think you're supposed to post your own music

Why would telegram be the solution? Centralized, not particularly private, not open to other standards.

Neat! This will be the first mainstream use for RISC V.

This is weird to me because I used to have go to lan parties at my friend Owen's house

It can be argued that the libreoffice dude is providing a service. If you were deeply invested in the windows ecosystem, with most of your apps coming from the store and you also have like 20 windows computers, buying it for $10 is totally worth it.

1 click install and auto updates being the advantage. Not to mention a centralized way to make sure all your machines are running the same version.

It's not like it's a subscription or per machine license.

Skyrim came out in 2011, sir

Walk the plank

Lol. Yeah, pretty much

Why does Richard always finish working out 10 minutes earlier than his girlfriend?

This would be better as an accessory to the steam deck (or other handheld).

I would buy it and play in bed when my kid and wife are asleep.

You wouldn't pirate a pirate, would you?

There's nothing that would make me get a half upgrade like that. But I would like to see improvements toward a steam deck 2. If this gets an oled screen, I'd like to see a model in number 2 with an oled screen

It's not universal. It's per app.

If I'm in my email, and someone sends me a PDF or a web link, I can use the back button to go back to my email when I'm done looking at the content.

I read on the droidian Matrix that the 8 and 8 pro were ported. You might ask there?

Also, no instructions. The droidian installer was pretty straightforward. Downgrade to the last Android 10 and run it.

I use Slskd

Runs as a web app, so I can remotely start downloads and have them drop into my music server

Sorta, but not quite.

This isn't built to trap you into an ecosystem. It's only built to give options. Each app is enforcing the activitypub protocol.

I've noticed that. Early on, I caught a full on dragonite that had decent stats and a high level. He's still viable to use even today.

Good luck reading it without taking a long enough break for the genie to think you finished the wish. Or mispronouncing a word and changing the meaning completely.

I use it. It's certainly a distro. For my laptop, I wanted something based on Debian to match my server, and i didn't want to have to configure anything That's pretty much it.

I don't love it enough to recommend, but it's doing its job well enough for me. Maybe it's problem is that it's boring.

I'll admit, I haven't really experimented with distros in a while. Not since I installed Debian on my server.

Lol. Yes.

I download most of my music, but I haven't gotten a new song in like a year and a half, so I want cheap, desktop something for the once in a while listening.

My wife has an iPhone and pays full price, this is also motivation

That's a great point. CP is hugely flawed.

I used to love Bryant Gardener when he was The Linux gamer.

But since the announcement of the steam deck, his view has narrowed far too much. He hasn't made a non deck video in like a year.

People are stupid. If everyone remembered what happened, we would just have cryptocurrency and NFTs earlier. Nothing would actually be different

Have you looked into gluetun? It has killswitch by design where the connection does not occur without a valid VPN.

It's very nice. I'll be happy to elaborate if you need me to.

I assume it all works on arm, I haven't specifically checked.

Interesting. Do you just listen on Random all the time, with maybe favorites or whatever?
