they're in the obviously named folder called "DCIM"

then it's on another folder called pictures...or downloads, both of which is still located at the root of internal storage
it's still in the app, just that you have to find it
I've been on that O(2^n) shit I need to have a pile of clothes on the floor but my floor is so disgusting
so much time spent looking for my clothes could've been used on something productive like browsing Twitter instead
