yeah that black mirror episode couldn't have come a better time.

Have you tried the other type of can openers, the one that completely removes the lid leaving no sharp parts afterwards.

Something like the on discussed in this video

Strangely this made me think of In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins.

I'm not sure that's what you're after but that's the first song that popped in my head.

is it possible to locally backup all my comments and posts? I just want to save some important stuff throughout the years before overwriting all of it.

This made the code so much clearer. Thanks for the explanation

I think you are sorted by "Active", so if an old post gets a new comment or something it goes to the front page.

speaking of searching stuff, how does lemmy work in that space?

Like would I ever find this comment if I search it on Google?

"Alibaba DQC Matrix Peanut Butter"

maybe it's time for you to make one

nah, if we're in any of the fictivev levels, then everyone should look TV good. Even the "ugly" ones should still look good.

Unless... the people in reality are so ugly that we in fictive level 1 would look good in the eyes of reality...

Yeah, children should learn how to express their emotions early on.

It's way harder when you're an adult already.

Where to find the finished product?

Test Post was successful, I was able to create a text post with 100% accuracy on my sample size of 1.

Bonus, I learned how mentions work but is not easily integrated with my own environment of Jerboa for lemmy.

New to Syncthing and have been using it to sync between my 2 android devices. Is it possible to sync the same folder to a PC as well?

When I was younger, I rewatched Inception plenty of times because it was my favourite movie and because I keep seeing new details, learning new little things about the movie every time.

I don't remember this exactly but when I was around 10 years old (circa 2007), me and my friends were playing around this ".bat" file that you create using notepad with a specific line which I forgot but essentially restarts your PC when you run the bat file.

We had some laughs during computer class.

During student council meeting, I had the chance to use the teacher/advisor's PC and of course tried this .bat thing for some laughs. Unfortunately this PC was older or something because when I ran the .bat file it didn't just restart the PC but ran into a significant error (I think some important files got deleted). Good thing no one noticed I tinkered with the PC, because the teacher was flustered.

Is this related to correlation is not causation?

One of the first things that popped in my head was this web series called Worm by Wildbow.

There was an epic moment there an Endbringer and Scion that still lives rent free in my mind. I remembered shedding a tear because of how awesome that moment was.

Another was my experience in watching The Disapperance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Right now I don't even know why it was such a great experience but I've been chasing that high ever since.

local dub (Filipino/tagalog) of an old anime called Mr. Ajikko.

I'm not sure if this exists but English Dub of Nodame Cantabile (I only have 1 of 3 seasons).

is it better than blokada?

You're a good person, hope y'all be alright.

I'm kind of in the similar situation right now.

My university friend group kind of drifted away due to pandemic and other circumstances.

Now I don't really have much interactions with them unless my GF and some of our mutual friends get together. It became more like My GF just dragging me around along her friends.

Looking at this, are there other small e-readers? I really just like the no distraction and the e-ink screens.

Let me preface that I don't know much about any of these stuff.

I imagined a giant pitcher of water slowly filling up the earth.

A flooded earth sounds interesting, are there other planets out there that are overflowing with water?

If there are, that might be what would happen.

I feel you with the "I don't have anything to talk about".

I'm pretty boring, play games, read books, and that's about it.

I wouldn't be able to hold a conversation for long.

ruler was for school, don't want my junk touching my school things.

Successfully failed is such a funny statement 😅 (do emojis work?)

quick rinse for me

it's not, but thanks.

Cradle by Will Wight, I think I'm at book 8 of 11/12 (I don't usually look so I don't gauge how long til the end).

It's been a fun western take on a progression fantasy and cultivation novel.

besides the incompatibility for the 2.4ghz thing.

Did you like the controller? Did it feel like it was built well?

are you a member of myanonamouse private tracker? I'll look it up tomorrow when I wake up.

so you're reading the book while listening the audiobook? that sounds like a good idea.

I read much faster than the audiobook though, what do you do then?

fubar'd? What does that mean?

Making time, maybe that's a big part of it.

I have a handful friends that I kind of still keep in touch with but only have time like once every 2 months to meet up and hang out.

What more for those old friends I haven't heard of in a while.

I thought gulikit had it, I guess not

that's one of the cons of gulikit then, thanks.

Warranty wasn't available?

How easy was it to fix yourself? (if you've taken apart any play station joysticks, how would it compare to those?)

Looking up the 8bitdo Ultimate again, I think it's better than both the 8bitdo pro 2 and the gulikit. However, I think the reason why I didn't consider it before it's because of the battery replacement.

In the pro 2 it's easy as putting in AAs or new 8bitdo batteries. The ultimate feels like if the battery dies it will be more convenient to buy another than to replace it.

Currently checking out how durable the battery for Ultimate is and weighing if it's worth the trade-off.

If the battery averages to last about at least 2 years of regular use, I'm leaning towards the ultimate.

I do this a lot (reading books on my phone before I sleep)

it does but damage the eyes?

When I was a teen I did. Used my hands as reference then a ruler to get the measurement.
