People in your workplace don't know shit. There are a few who know stuff but the majority is dumb, careless or the combination of the two. Surprisingly the higher you go the more dumb and careless there are. We are designing monster billion dollar construction projects and some of my colleagues have problems with understanding written english. Others cannot learn a software that has literally 3 buttons in them they have to press. I don't even know sometimes why I am trying.

For the small price of 250 scalper dollars you will be able to buy it

They were on peak 10 years ago. Bar is not too high imho

Uninstall onedrive

Laws are usually made by people far detached from what they are ruling on. In short: They have no idea. Although majority of the planet uses chromium based browsers and once this is implemented in chromium its kinda decided.

Windows -at this point- is free to use at least for personal reasons and there are zero consequences if you don't activate your copy. They used to give you deadline in the XP/Vista era to activate your copy but not anymore. All you get is a watermark in the corner that either bothers you or not. They are as well very sloppy with closing activation methods, they could just close a new gate every patch Tuesday but they don't do it. It is far far more important to them that everyone is using windows and there is a high chance based on last week's news that there will be a subscription "premium" version like in any app that removes ads and enables AI features.

I'm out of the loop. Is there a tl;dr version of what has happened so far?

He did say his keystrokes were playback in a few seconds. No way you realize what is happening and yank the cable this fast. This is the type of situation where people sit and watch the chaos unfold

Constant scrolling social media on your phone gifting you with small doses of dopamine causes this. I used to read a book every two weeks few years ago and I have reached a point recently where books were boring, movies were too long so I watched series only. Realization is the first step. Now you have to make steps to change this. I have swapped bedtime phone scrollig to reading and books again and lowered my daytime phone usage. I have also watch some educational youtibe videos instead of scrolling some social media. It has helped a lot and now I'm back into reading and much more patient.

Paying 0.99 per song was how a better user experience? Music piracy was pretty big till Spotify. No service was even close before.

Data collection should be limited by the government, that is not a decision to an avarage parent.

DIY is like that. If you look up how to make a birdhouse they will tell you you need a saw, a hammer, nails, drill, paintbrush and something to measure with. Having a 3d printer and a soldering iron nowadays is pretty low entry, you can get into it cheaper that buying the saw, hammer and drill for the birdhouse. You don't have to buy the bambulab printer and the weller / hakko iron. You can print this case on an ender 3 you found in the dumpster. Or pay 10 bucks for someone and they will print it for you. On the other hand you will have a device you can infinitely repair unlike the kindles that are kicking the dust every few year for everyone.

I did 2 months ago. The OS is truly awsome but many many software are just inferior to the windows version. For example there is no proper pdf reader that can sign a pdf and add or remove a page. You have to do it in two separate software or with a CLI application. I'm a daily anydesk user, I have license as well, their console is broken on ubuntu (or just gnome, not sure). I had to weed out certain things from gnome from a javascript file so I can use my PC while anydesk running. So depending on what you want to do it can be a very good experience or a borderline hell trying to replace your basic software with something worse. I will not give up at this point and I stand by it it is not linux's fault, however you are not just using an OS but many software on that said OS and many of those software will suck. Fortunately things like Photoshop no longer an issue as you have Photopea in the web browser. Web3 is really helping linux out.

So what is the issue with this project https://libreboot.org/ ? maybe instead demanding change, supporting alternatives is a better option

There is np such thing as overkill while some governments actively funding quantum computing projects for the sole purpose of code cracking

I walk next door. I like that its close by and I can spend my lunchtime laying on my couch. I hate its close by so I'm practically always working. I would also want to listen podcasts during commute but all of them are too long for my commute. Overall I recommend living close to work. (it's my own business, I'm not employee)

I see someone was unable to quit the gym subscription.

What happens if I'm a foreigner? Let's say I travel there as a tourist, break an arm hiking, they put me in plaster. Let's assume I'm careless and made no travel insurance. Are they going to stop me on the border?

I'm blaming companies making a windows and linux version of a software while the linux version is wastly inferior, full of bugs and unstable. I do love the OS but the software experience sometimes ruining it.

I'm pretty sure basic usage statistics were updloaded previously as well without an account. Now they want you to login, give jucy permissions on your phone and upload all the "usage" data ... for security.

But its just 20min to update bro. Any you will get all the juicy spyware and tracking.

They track you and then different kind of tools are trying to profile you based on your data. Similarly how ads work on the internet. Saying your car collect data of your sex life more like means they collect absolutely everything about you and then they run it through different software to profile you then sell all this data for extra profit. If you daily drive to a school they will assume you have a family and kids. If you go to a random apartment complex once a week after your kids went sleep they will assume you have a mistress. Its all based on location data and the stuff you enetered during registration.

Google's approach of just monitoring your behaviour in the browser is still the most humane and it pisses me off that you literally have to serve all your data to them so they can even decide to serve you with their ads.

I would guess bot activity related to covid or any other american political thing

Any product fabrication is so much more than the actual product. For a weapon you need steel, machinery, oil etc. Technically the petrol station near the factory also profits from the weapon factory. Where do you draw the line who can profit from it? Until it is legal to produce any weapon someone somewhere in the chain will profit from it. In a capitalist setting this cannot just vanish.

My best decision was Unraid. I highly recommend

I would pay for that

He is just speculating, but Mr Beast is known to push his people as well to work a lot

gnome has those little icon on the top bar and anydesk also creates one while running. That little icon created a big unclickable are in the corner of the screen and i could not close my full screen windows. I had to delete a javascript file from gnome that places those icons in the topbar to solve this issue as anydesk has no setting to hide it.

OpenTTD

I have samsung phones and chromecast devices and never had issue casting. However I believe you need the google home app for it. If you install VLC that might have its own library in the package for casting as well the youtube app. Don't forget most TVs have miracast so if you are using the screen share option with your TV that is not chromecast.

Imagine EA providing the torrent and thanking Skidrow for the great work on removing Denuvo lol

Isnt your data encrypted when you have a pw set on your phone? For a screen or battery replacement they dont need to know your pw.
