hi

Give obtainium a shot to get it straight from the source as soon as it's available.

Wouldn't getting something like a Kobo and syncing with Calibre be a much easier/cheaper option?

I know these guys are too busy to do it but I would gladly pay a monthly fee for a podcast with Steve (GN), Steve (HUB), Wendell (L1) and Gordon (PCWorld).

There are too many variables that go into battery usage to get any meaningful insight. Different apps, cpus, screen brightness/refresh rates, active radios, etc... It's an endless list. Best you can do is compare with someone you know with the same model who has similar usage patterns. Good luck.

I've been using spotDL with Kid3 to automate downloading/sorting spotify playlists for a long time now without issues. Not as easy as a one click solution but very reliable. Maybe someone else can chime in with something easier to use.

It looks like that instance isn't using the most up-to-date version since the "press go" issue has been fixed. Try to keep in mind that the initial commit was on June 24 and it's still very early in the development stage. If you look at the commits, you can see the developer has been very active.

You'll want a setup that has providers with different backbones. Found the map from the site that shall not be named. If you download alot, ideally you'll want your main to be fast and unlimited with a few block accounts from other backbones.

Racknerd and lowendtalk have been around for a very long time. Racknerd has earned their good reputation over that time by being a stable provider with good support. The occasional great deal helps but none of it is too good to be true for anyone that has been following the vps space.

Did a search for ubuntu "integrity: problem loading x.509 certificate" and the first result indicates out of date bios certificates needed for secure boot on older laptops. Disabling secure boot seems to be the suggested fix.

This is probably a silly question but how do you think open source development works and what is adequate compensation?

It's doesn't have anywhere near the same feature set or polish but I think neolauncher probably comes the closest to replacing nova as far as open source solutions go.

Or you could use obtainium to get it straight from the source as soon as it's available.

The lidarr way.

Probably owl.

Would love to see a detailed response especially to #1.

I've been trying harder to diversify my youtube content. Please share links to visible minority (from a western pov) creators who post similar content. Why are there so few?

Novaspirit Tech

Is 60W a lot? I think a system with a few mechanical hard drives and fans will be at least half of that regardless of the processor used. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I tried downloading from the link provided and it started downloading the file for me.

Hardware unboxed will definitely do another deep dive into upscalers once fsr3 is widely available.

For those using/hosting invidious, clipious works pretty well and has sponsorblock integration.

I'm generally fine with anything mozilla chooses to with firefox as long as we retain the ability to undo it, but it is something that should be watched closely given the power of the default.

It is quite good but anyone new to the show should know Steve plans to retire from the show after I think he said 999 or 1000. That's a little over a year from now. Hopefully they'll get someone capable to fill in.

Thank you for tempo, it has quickly become my default subsonic client.

Will Samsung ever rethink Knox and allow custom roms without losing warranty coverage and negatively affect resale value? What about allowing banking apps to work again if you go back to the default rom?

It might be easier to get suggestions if you go into more detail about the functionality you're looking for, whether it replicates paid features of other clients or something else altogether.

I've been using neo launcher since nova was sold. What kind of bugs have you encountered?

https://usememos.com for something simple if you can selfhost the server. Companion app for ios/android.

I was using smtp2go, I'm now testing purelymail for my personal email needs. I don't think the latter is suited for sending a large number of emails.

Flathub still shows the old version and the github page has been archived. The main site doesn't even have an option to choose your download package.

I've already installed 115 but this doesn't seem new user friendly.

This seems like it will kill the sales of rocket league credits in the grey market.

I use the todoagenda widget to see my schedule and minical widget for a quick overview.

Is there anything that stands out about the new phones (performance/battery/interface) that makes them a clearly superior product compared to last year's models?

I've been a viewer/listener of the network since its inception so please understand that I'm not unbiased. I've also seen many of these incidents live as they happened and in imho, the characterization of some of these events is a bit misleading but I can see how they might have been interpreted that way. Forgive me if I don't really want to go into the nitty gritty of it.

I think he has his faults and they sometimes interfere with my enjoyment of the podcasts but if he was a truly horrible person, I don't think many of the people I respect in the tech space would associate with him offline. "A man is known by the company he keeps" often rings true to me but it has also steered me wrong at times.

All I really care about is good insightful content about the things that matter to me and (fortunately/unfortunately depending on your pov) twit is one of the few places to get the kind of long form discussion that I like.

Thank you for your post even if I disagree with it.

Kobo with calibre-web sync has been great. Calibre-web github.

Wasn't there a r/iptv discord invite going around?

Here are a couple of links to help you get a better idea of what purelymail is like:

I'm in the process of trying it out for a year before I switch over fully. Have yet to run into any issues but I'm not a heavy email user.

Great video Juan. Your last point about lazy reviewers is why you're the only phone reviewer (he does way more than review phones people) in my subscriptions. And as far as android content goes, it's only Android Faithful & In Depth Tech Reviews. It's frustrating seeing reviewers increasingly go the pay to play route and often not even disclosing the fact their "review" is really just a commercial.

I was hoping to see more recommendations in the comments but I'm sure that'll come in time.

I'd choose one that is on the newest version, high uptime, lots of users but not too many and relatively low latency.
