Idiots Avant! (post-punk, noise, experimental pop)

Ah, the good ole "I'm leaving" announcement. Thanks for letting us know! I'm sure the Reddit subject will die over time anyway so who cares?

I can't personally do anything to stop this.

You can always upvote or share a post like this to spread awaraness and hence maybe make people buy less eggs, or at least make them pause to think before they buy their next eggs.

In today's digital media, any post where a person admits they were wrong deserves an upvote regardless of the subject.

I dunno but xtreme programming sounds like something straight outta Musk's wettest teenage day dreams.

Homocidal. The only thing making me wonder if this is fake.

They're totally different breed designed to lay as much eggs as physically possible compared to broilers that are designed to grow edible muscle as much and as fast as possible.

More info here.

brutalist.report The day's headlines delivered to you without bullshit.

This is wholesome in a strange way.

Learn a memory technique. Start with Major system and go on from there. If you keep going, on the next long flight you'll be happily creating new memory palaces or revisiting the old ones. All in your mind, no electronic devices needed.

They're not only fun but useful as well.

Also the "we're setting things up for you" or whatever user-dumb-hide-details crap the Teams PWA throws on your screen while launching is just... As if there was a live team of engineers carefully configuring your current Teams instance so that it starts up right. (A bit off-topic, but current trend of software "speaking to users in patronising manner" is annoying af. Unless it's up to or exceeding HAL-3000 level, it should be abolished.)

Actually I just found out about thumb-key that seems to fit the bill perfectly. In theory at least.

If you need multiple files for testing a script or such: touch file{1..5}.txt

I get tab anxiety at about 20 at which point the least visited get scrapped.

It may have been implied.

Let me guess, you're a westerner with access to plant-based dietary supplements? I suppose you're vegan then? If not, you must be part of some indigenous people.

I know I couldn't.

As always a source of some kind is appreciated.

Ah, the web portals.

Unfortunately it won't prevent another one taking his place. Especially with the 2020's constitutional referendum that basically lets Russian war criminals get away unpunished. I think the whole country is fucked beyond repair at this point.

Had pentadactyl survived the infamous extension API change (or something like that, don't remember anymore) I would've never left FF. However, I finally made it back, thanks to tridactyl.

If you have to ask, maybe not. But if you're mostly "keyboard driven", code and edit files a lot, it's (vim or neovim) very much worth trying out.

I'd say this is not literally a can of beans, in the vein of both Magritte and Warhol.

Plot twist: the act of teleportation is extremely tasking both physically and mentally. Even the most capable persons haven't been able to teleport more than twice a day.

I think this is the eternal 1st of April.

Wait til you find out about animal testing at large.

Logic? No. Sarcasm? Yes.

a mobile app that doesn't annihilate battery with ridiculously excessive cpu use and keepalive requests

Speaking of which, how on Earth it's such a slug these days? I pretty much quit Reddit when the protest started and moved to Lemmy. I never used any other Android app since I was reasonably happy with the official app. However, when I launched it to check how my old subs fared, I was quite surprised at how slow, laggy and bloated POS it had come.

I honestly don't remember it being this crappy just a few weeks ago.

I'm sure you're not a piece of shit, but by still having a Twitter account equals to supporting the platform and its owner (a proven piece of shit). Even if you're not giving it any traffic by being logged in or following users (which you're doing), you'd be giving it your support.

By unfollowing your sports people and quitting the shithole altogether you're sending a clear message that the platform is dying (it's already dead for many) and it's high time for people to find alternatives.

Thanks, but these seem they're adhering to Gboard experience rather than MessagEase.

If you're concerned about plants, that's a good reason for going vegan.

Personally, I might shift the same picture through Darktable, GIMP, Inkscape, and even Scribus, depending on what I was trying to do with it. (Text on a path -> probably Inkscape, then export as PNG and import into GIMP as a layer.)

Gotta love this adaptation of the "do one thing and do it well" principle.

I was in a similar spot a long time ago. Even though in such a situation it's incredibly hard to see it from outside your black bubble of depression, from your family's and friends' POV, it really does help to try.

Unfortunately only these cups go well with those fugly brown L. Vuitton bags...

Cassettes also remember where you stopped listening so it's trivial to continue later from the exact spot.

Any experience on OneDrive Client for Linux by any chance?

Dogs learn words. When your puppy pees, say out loud, for example pee-pee and praise the dog. Do this consistently a few times when the dog urinates. After a while they learn what it means, and you can tell them to go by using the command pee-pee. The same with pooping, of course.

This technique applies to all kinds of actions. One of the more useful ones are the directions: when on a walk and you turn to the left, say "left" and "right" when taking a right turn. The direction commands can potentially save the dog's life in case they get off leash in a high traffic area.

And GG Allin, probably.
