"While the duration of this timer isn't revealed, we expect it to be somewhere around 30 to 60 seconds."

Peak journalism.

github1s. It works like this: Whenever you are at a URL like github.com/user/repo just add a "1s" after github, like github1s.com/user/repo.

Gives you an embedded VSCode as a viewer including tools like search functionality.

Is the score of Starfield really the only gaming topic Lemmy has to offer since like 4 days?

" Traditional tiling window managers solve the hidden window problem preventing windows from overlapping. While this works well in some cases, it falls short as a general replacement for stacked, floating windows. "

In 10 years of working with tiling WMs productively on a daily basis this has been an issue exactly 0 times. Even in a world that is tailored to non-tiling WMs they just perform better. Period.

My configs remember stuff for me.

Alles für den Dackel. Alles für den Club.

He's stuck in line after Kissinger. Is there a strike happening at Reaper Inc.?

Like seriously, this must be fake. Add a zero and I'd still find it suspiciously cheap.

Tbf the user you responded to neither complained nor claimed to expect anything from anyone. They simply stated a pretty spot on observation.

Can you provide some context? Googled oven/Jarred Sumner a bit but only got the usual startup VC trash communication and lackluster interviews...

"simply hosting"

You sir don't have the slightest idea of what an immense operation "simply hosting" those videos is.

Hotline Miami

Splinter cell - chaos theory

Ori and the blind forest

Upvote since I agree with that sentiment

I'm not using vs code, but my team does... with Python. Webstorm calls itself a JavaScript IDE.

That alone is sufficient for an instant "no".

Arcanum.

If you like sci-fi try "Foundation" on Apple+

It's literally in the article (embedded as a video tweet)

Sounds to me like someone just didn't get German sarcasm...

Don't even think snatch is the the best Guy Ritchie movie. Lock, stock and two smoking barrels is better imo.

ACME Thingies. The most relatable something used by beings.

Or even just dt-990s + modmic. Still better than any gaming headset ever built.

When Windows 3.1 came out I had a hard time understanding any of it and never left my cozy DOS CLI with its Norton Commander.

Granted I was still a child, but one might think that mouse-first and colorfulness would have driven my curiosity. Instead I switched when Windows 95 arrived.

Even in that very long list of European crimes in history, Sykes-Picot really outshines the rest in how big of a fuckup it was.

Star Wars Episodes 5 and 6

"We are definitely at a point of diminishing returns with graphics,"

WTF. How can you look at current NERF developments and honestly say that? This has never been further from the truth in the history of real time graphics. When have we ever been so close to unsupervised, ACTUALLY photo-realistic (in the strict sense) graphics?

Funny. Whole reason I use nixos is because I cba to tinker with my systems anymore. Tell me another OS with which I can manage 20+ systems with even less effort and I'd consider switching.

"The Bild newspaper is an organ of infamy. It is wrong to read it. Anyone who contributes to this newspaper is socially unacceptable. It would be wrong to be friendly or even polite to one of its editors. You have to be as unfriendly to them as the law allows. They are bad people who do the wrong thing" - Max Goldt (translated from German)

No, of course it's not true. Somehow people still upvote some random conspiracy theory from a fortnite subreddit...

Imagine talking about faith in that situation. If you really think faith is a good base for financial decisions you better keep far away from the stock market.

How is running Sailfish, Copperhead or Ubuntu "being a data mule"?

There is no such thing as committing early.

Sounds like a regular PhD student project.

Pretty sure I'm gonna be fine.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Also worth mentioning that there's gonna be a movie based on another one of his graphic novels in 2024:

The old, bitter variant of brussel sprouts.
