I can't believe this name wasn't already taken.

Click bait. We've heard this for ages. Wake me up when things actually happen, until then stop giving media who keep him front and center the ad clicks.

Ain't nobody going to talk about that guy in the thumbnail eating a CD while wearing that hat? Stock photos are weird.

Edit one of your old posts on reddit to add your fediverse account name?

I find it's the opposite: engines are so biased toward new content that older but still useful (or crucial) results are buried. I feel like an archeologist some days, carefully digging through the strata to find ancient hidden treasure.

UPDATE without a WHERE.

Yes in prod.

Yes it can still happen today (not my monkey).

Yes I wrap everything in a rollback now.

Simpsons has become so... tame. Among other words that rhyme, such as dart, cart, and e-art.

Yep. Primary chat protocol is still SMS. The general population hasn't latched on to WhatsApp or others like many countries have.

Didn't they do that last time? I recall entire sections instantly reset when porn was being constructed.

Get WinAero Tweaker. It's a tool that applies dozens of registry and group policy settings to kill stuff like this. I ran it once ages ago and never have had to deal with stuff like your screenshot.

They're doing more than riding on apples services for free. They had to build and run a notification relay server to make this work.

Same thing that's been in the news about Apple sharing info with police. The content of the messages are ETE encrypted but notifications of who is talking to who is not

The two models you linked have an estimated annual energy cost of $489 and $119. That's roughly $40 a month vs $10. This would mean you'd come out ahead in total cost over the lifetime of the unit -- parts + install + bills -- at 4 years and 2 months.

Obviously every situation is different, but calculating at an aggregate level and using that math to dismiss the idea wholesale is disingenuous at best.

Keep it up kids. 🤘

Last time around part of Trump's strategy was to dominate the news cycle with a never ending torrent of outlandish statements and behavior. Free advertising. And of course he's going to do it again because his fundraising is much less than Biden's at this point. And he probably can't help himself as that's all he knows how to do and it works on his base.

One could argue that it's a wise idea to co-opt that free campaign exposure by joining in instead of fighting back or fact checking or correcting the record like they had in the past.

This was reposted to reddit dozens of times.

...but now that we're here, does the counter reset? Does an old repost now become a new post? Philosoraptor wants to know.

Not to mention they are the superior salad utensil.

Auto-auto-rotate. Remember your rotation setting by app. Why that isn't built in I don't know.

This is the case where DC police filed suit, not the Jack Smith case everyone is watching where SCOTUS refused to expedite when asked to circumvent the appeals courts.

I'm hanging on to my sub $1000 beater. Late 90s Civic with 240k miles and no clear coat still has better mpg than our newish CRV.

There's two of us! Really the minority in this thread. For me there was no guide so i was extremely confused at first. Then I found it interfered with one of my most used apps that featured similar gestures so I turned it off and never went back.

Richard Hunt is Executive Chairman of the Electronic Payments Coalition.

That was obvious way before this line at the bottom. It's an option hit piece that spreads fear instead of substance.

It finally just came up. Posting here from it now.

The admin last posted almost 2 weeks ago saying he was having a minor surgical procedure and hadn't publicly posted since. Hopefully he's okay and fixed this himself, but he's still silent at the moment.

WYSIWYG collaboration platform, I guess?

If your engine is working very poorly. Unburned fuel in your exhaust is a problem large enough that you'll probably be experiencing a lot of engine trouble.

Perfect. Welcome!

Wow. I read through most of the pages. What a convoluted system! Besides several new terms that are interdependent and poorly defined, this scheme is going to be impossibly opaque to users and orders of magnitude more complex than upvote/downvote. I especially don't like that points are directly related to karma, when karma whoring and botting are prevalent. Last thing we need is karma earning one some measure of influence or control in a community.

They clearly think this is something people will simply get used to should they not enthusiastically embrace it. Why they think that in an era of other platforms dumbing down interaction to nothing more than an upvote I can't wrap my head around.

What a colossal waste of resources. Thankfully it appears to be opt in by sub for now, though I doubt that will last.

You'd have to go back to around 2000 to find rates on a 30 year fixed comparable to today's. https://www.freddiemac.com/pmms

Historically we're still in a period of pretty good rates. However, the reality is who cares about what things were like more than 25 years ago. The new normal is 6ish percent, and we're over that right now. I don't think we're ever going to see rates below 5% again, not counting for some extraneous circumstance nobody can predict. But at this point any relief is going to be meaningful to a lot of people.

On the other hand, home prices are not coming down, and they probably will not come down even if there's plenty of overinflated valuations out there.

Therefore the only thing to give on affordability is increased supply to keep home values from continuing to grow in a pace that outruns incomes, and lower rates so more people can afford what's out there today.

Open type fonts have these capabilities built in. It's up to the designer to implement it in useful ways like this.

For a while I was skipping lunch or eating junk food due to work pinning me down for 80 hours a week. I wanted something fast but healthy and not expensive. Prepared meals cost too much, delivery apps only raise the price.

I had heard of soylent before and found ready-to-drink was available at Target. Not bad, but not good. Too sweet for me. After looking into these things more I eventually settled on Mana as they seemed to be the most focused on nutrition and constantly improving their product. I've been getting their powder by subscription ever since to replace one meal a day (usually breakfast). Comes out to less than 5 minutes and $2 a day. It's borderline bland, which makes it easy to have fun with. Add chocolate powder, some mango juice, or leftover coffee from the French press, whatever to break out of the "I'm only eating this for sustenance" monotony.

I hit a wall on mobile.

Lots of great ones here. The Witches came out in 1990, so I hope I can slip that in.

This is so close to being right. You want your drain hose to have a high loop before it connects with the drain pipe. This site has more info and clear pictures.

From experience: sodium percarbonate. This is the active ingredient in oxy-clean powders and can be purchased online. In it's pure form it's commonly used as a sterilizing cleaner for brewing and bottling equipment. I've been using it in laundry for 10 years.

PairDrop.net does the same via your browser. I think it's more or less the same mechanism, just no install needed and fully cross platform. Just visit the site on both devices and share stuff.

The snapdrop app on fdroid gives you an easy share intent to use.

For all the reasons others have already stated, what you want is a Kill A Watt instead of a multimeter or another thing to buy. Plug this thing into the wall and then plug your appliances etc into the meter and leave it for a week. I will record total power draw over the duration so you can see exactly how much power is being used under normal operating conditions. With a little bit of math you can compare kilowatt hours consumed with your power company costs and figure out how much money it cost to use TV's etc per hour.
