There is no "play 5 days early". The game launched on 1st of September. But those who can't afford to shell out 100 Euros have to wait 5 more days. Microsoft did the same bullshit with Forza. I didn't like it back then, I won't like it now.

Bethesda Game Studios games don't have DRM like Denuvo. BGS and Bethesda Softworks are two different entities. ID, MachineGames and other Zenimax studios tend to have DRM, not BGS.

On the other hand, didn't Denuvo come out after Fallout 4 launched? So what would they even protect, 76?

Yes, it finally lost Early Access

Drives aren't going down in price :(

Not necessairly (well, goodbye to Starfield Script Extender in that case). But I think it's more that Gamebryo can't integrate Denuvo lol

I pay for Indian Youtube Premium with Revolut

Those aren't BGS games. Bethesda that developes =/= bethesda that publishes. The latter likes DRM

I have only Spotify and Youtube Premium. Spotify because YTMusic sucks (and I have two other family members on it) and Youtube because I spend more than 12 hours/day streaming Youtube. Both of those are super justified. Rest is high seas with Jellyfin, with some exceptions. Right now I'm on a 3Euro Prime Video tier, which I will cancel after Star Trek Lower Decks is over.

We knew the game would be demanding when MS announced 30FPS only on both consoles. And this time it isn't a CPU bottleneck

No? You just need a VPN server in the location you are connecting to lol.

This is actually better than straight up pirating them, thanks!

So, I let others archive those and have digital versions of content I want. I get the appeal of discs, but I also get appeal of no discs (I'm in the latter camp)

And is their Wireguard still limited to 5?

Jellyfin has an official app https://us.lgappstv.com/main/tvapp/detail?appId=1030579

I assume it is limited to something like "only TVs from 2022 and newer can run this"?

a library card US library card.

Yes. You need a PC that can act as a server (so run 24/7). If you want outside access you would also need a VPN or expose your services to the internet.

Yeah I'm here wondering if I want to upgrade my R5 1600

Tizen and WebOS are why I went with TCL instead of a similarly priced Samsung or LG even though they had a slightly better display panel.

Fun fact, just encountered this very issue myself lol. I hate the fact that I had to set up share per dataset, but it works and with smb enumeration they at least don't show up for other users.

There are uncracked Denuvo games to this day that don't have performance issues. Not everyone is incompetent in implementing it. That doesn't mean I'm defending it (but Reddit/Lemmy will like to take any sort of non-attack as defense sooooo), I'm just saying that there are Denuvo games that don't suffer performance issues.

VPN to India, Revolut Rupee "account", virtual debit card and an Indian street name generator

My bluray drive flashed with LibreDrive can't burn BD-Rs, at all. Maybe a coincidence with LibreDrive, but it sucks :(

Lets not pretend that there aren't Denuvo games without performance issues...

I dumped my Audible books. Metro 2035 is around 550MBs, Windows reports 62kbps bit rate. Is that normal? m4b Downloaded with Booklib+AAX Converter

I went to Megathread first, but that is focused on print ebooks and streaming audiobooks. And as I said, Audiobookbay doesn't have what I need. Haven't checked MAM yet

Ah. Well F4 didn't have it on launch

Well we have many games that can be compared. Easiest is when the Steam version still has Denuvo for some reason but there is a GOG version

This should be bulletproof, right? When Gluetun can't connect it will kill traffic

if your that passionate about NASs, may I ask how does one negate data loss if a lighting were to strike? or fire?

host everything in VMs and backup to an offsite NAS.

Can't you use a docker CIFS volume?

3 more...

I'm aware that CIFS is essentially SMB. Is the issue on the host or the container side?

Space is why I only have about 50% of my GOG library in offline backups.

Why did you start with No?

Fortunately Roku doesn't exist in my country. Jellyfin has apps for AndroidTV, AppleTV and smartphones. It really only lacks an app for consoles

Bank: we’re increasing your mortgage

Supermarket: we’re increasing your food spend

Car insurance: we’re increasing your premium

Household bills: we’re increasing water, gas and electricity

Broadband: we’re increasing your fees

Cellphone: your contract renewal is higher than last year

Salary: fuck you, peasant

Bank Of England: Just stop spending

When in the last 120 years was this NOT a case? Sure, few last years have been fucked more than usual, but we are still living pretty comfortable lives. Inflation is natural.
