Anyone who works nights, or an evening job that runs late like a bar or something, is currently used to having the date change in the middle of their "day". I don't think it's really that big of a deal. It would be super weird at first, but kids who grew up with it would find our current system just as bananas as we would find this.

It's not that they can't moderate their content at all, it's specific restrictions on how they can moderate. For example, not being allowed to ban someone who's running for political office, i.e. they're still salty about trump getting banned from twitter for a bit.

China is threatening US global dominance and the US is freaked out and very motivated to cast suspicion on anything Chinese. Remember that "spy balloon" that turned out to be a nothing burger? I wouldn't pay attention to anything so insubstantial as "fears raised". That's all they're doing - raising fear.
We can't even measure calories accurately, never mind predicting how much your specific body will actually absorb. Maybe we could be more accurate with vitamins and stuff, but I dunno.
