It is a good point but are people really joining lemmy.world en mass still and if so why don't the admins close registrations?
A dog with false teefs. Human teef not doge teef.

I wonder how many of those instances are single user instances and the numbers going up and down so sharply are curious people spinning up instances, getting bored and killing them once they get bored. I'd like to be able to see how much other platforms in the fediverse fluctuate
wasn't yunohost using an older version of Lemmy?
It was good while it lasted and they managed to keep it going longer than my first instance (two days)
Not all instances are created equal however one I tried to sign upto their email verification didn't work and others just didn't bother to activate my account for whatever the reason.
your website is easy to read
It works okay for me?
bit of a stretch to say it's unsafe.
I guess I need to point out the tweet that OP posted was on about 1337 which is what I was on about not the BG3 download. the perfectly safe content far outweighs any bad content ( I have yet to see someone hide a miner in a movie for example)
So as a user on sh.itjust.works I'm guility of being racist/bigot/bad faith troll? just by signing up to a particular instance because my last one fell over? I suggest you take a look at your own instances rules particulary: "Do not engage in name calling, ad hominem attacks, or any other uncivil behaviour. Criticize ideas, never people" and "No threats, bullying or attacks on an individual or group."
As has been mentioned report the user, block them and move on. Imagine if countries reached for nukes at the first sign of disagreement?
