Big movie and auto racing nerd, love to read (especially genre books like horror and sci-fi), sometimes write poetry.

I can't blame people for staying away from The Flash, the moment they decided not to ditch Ezra Miller I knew I wasn't gonna pay a dime to go see that movie despite Keaton and the role it plays in resetting the DC Cinematic Universe. Which isn't to mention that the trailers didn't do much to pitch more than a fairly mid-superhero movie coasting on crossovers, which sooo many people are burnt out on these days.

Was coming here to mention Gore. It really isn't very often you see a politician of any stripe show a genuine sense of humor about themselves, and willingness to just get a little silly.

Whenever I'm feeling particularly anxious or depressed, this is one of the first songs I go to.

Yeah same, I don't remember the last time I even thought about them but it is very nice to revisit

I've been waiting for one to pop up on here, will gladly join if you do put one together.

The first Cramps song I ever heard early in my teens, I was instantly hooked.

This song is great and this album is one I feel like far too many people overlook. As a huge Nebraska fan, I'm down for any time The Boss wants to strip down and get all acoustic on our asses, and while it isn't as great as Nebraska it is still easily my favorite 90s Springsteen album and high on my list of favorite E Street Band-less albums.

My high school band's original lead singer made us play this song like 20 times over the course of 2 practices before we kicked him out so I have every rhythm part on guitar memorized to this day, lol. However, Dinosaur Jr rules and this song is great even if this wasn't one of their stronger albums.

Absolutely adore Breakfast of Champions, it is a pity various disputes have kept a lot of the album from being available on various streamers, so I rely quite heavily on the cassette copy I picked up on a whim.

I love the fact that this song was such a crossover for Americana listeners that it tricked my grandparents into buying what is essentially just a twangy dreampop album.

I've never listened to any (I've meant to, just haven't gotten around to it) but I know that Jacobin hosts some podcasts with various socialist focuses.

This has long been a "walking around the neighborhood with my headphones in" staple, got the perfect atmosphere for night walk with a chill in the air.

Stone cold classic!

Can't tell you how many times I have wailed along to this song sad-drunk

For whatever reason, I just never really listened to Swervedriver or if I did it just didn't light up my radar, but I really enjoyed this song, might do a deeper dig in the future.

Most bands are lucky to have one great songwriter, Husker Du had two who ensured there was never a dull moment on any of their albums. It says a lot that of the "noise pop/melodic hardcore" era, Candy Apple Grey is probably their weakest album and it still produced all-time great songs like this.

These are absolutely amazing, great work.

Not gonna lie, feel like a big part of the problem is the fact that Bud Light is swill, so naturally it attracts a lot of lowest-common denominator customers who can actually make a boycott like this sting a little.

There's obviously a lot that plays into stuff like this, but don't think such a boycott would at all be effective with like a decent mid-shelf beer though.

Watched because this band was randomly in my recommendations the other day and it felt like fate to pop up in another place days later, I am not upset that I did, some serious protopunk/early punk vibes I'm super into. Will listen to more, thanks for the post!

Legitimately believe that Motor Away is one of the single most perfect rock songs ever written.

An all time classic, no doubt.

I really enjoyed this, being introduced things like this I otherwise wouldn't be are why this is becoming one of my favorite communities on here

I remember I went out and bought the first She Wants Revenge album because of how great Tear You Apart was. The rest of the album never really caught on with me, but that single still rules and I'm probably gonna give it my first listen in years today because of this post.

I watched this exact performance so, so many times during my late teen years. Still so killer, miss them.

As killer a track as ever

Really good cover but EXCELLENT music video, it's all I could ask for.

The amount of my regular music listening that is Cocteau Twins is large, but I don't always remember to explore the earlier albums, so thanks for the reminder!

I'm 32, and Let it Be has been a top 3 album for me since I was like 15 years old. You don't have to be older to know that The 'Mats were amazing.

There has never been a time in my life in which I have turned down the chance to watch David Byrne do weird little dances.

It is such a wonderful moment in a frantic album, just take a step back, chill out, and inspire people with a tribute to the power of music. Love it.

Straight up one of my favorite songs of all time.

The other day while talking to a friend I compared somebody else's music to Buffalo Tom, and then said "I fully recognize I'm probably the only person who cares about Buffalo Tom", so thank you for proving me wrong.

It used to bother me a lot more when I was younger, but honestly the older I've gotten the more I just look at myself and how much I've changed from top to bottom including in a lot of cases things like my tastes in music, and I realize that you can't just expect somebody to stay stationary in life. We're all moving, we're all changing, and you can't expect a musician to only want to do the one thing for their entire career.

So ultimately, yeah it can bum me out when a band changes their sound in a way that I don't enjoy, but I'm just thankful that for the moments it did we had a special connection and leave open the door that maybe down the road I will appreciate the new stuff more than I initially did.

One of my favorite opening lines in any song I've ever listened to, hooks you immediately.

I ended up getting promoted from rhythm guitarist to frontman of my high school band when they realized I was good at screaming because a dude and I were messing around on a cover of For Want Of towards the end of practice.

Omg, how did I not know as the hardest of hardcore Bright Eyes fans that this exists? Great cover(s).

The Cure never ceases being one of my favorite bands since I was the only 12 year old rocking a Cure t-shirt in middle school, there's something in their diverse discography that can fit every mood I can have or want to be in.

Love love love this album. I will literally tell any fan of Double Nickels on the Dime (which let's face it, is most Minutemen fans you find more than their full discography) that they HAVE to check out fIREHOSE and they are literally nearly as good in totally their own style.

Naomi is a song I have mixed feelings about. I love it, but it is also the creepiest, most stalkerish song ever written and makes me feel a little gross singing along to it, lol.

It might be just because the most famous members of Jane's Addiction are famously super hateable dudes. They generally aren't a cool band to like because of both that and the close association with RHCP (whom I personally also do not like), but it is unfair because at their peak JA were a really solid alt rock band that didn't really sound like anybody else out there.
