If making up imaginary scenarios in your mind that have no chance of happening makes you feel better go for it my man.

And while he won't face any charges himself the military will refuse to execute what is an obviously unlawful order.

Is it even christian to force a sermon onto people

Well historically Christian denominations have been quite pushy to say the least.

That.. is not a study by anyone who knows what they are talking about. It also does not mention fingerprints at all.

They seem to believe that the app can use permissions undeclared in the manifest file because they obviously think it's only for the store to show the permissions to the user. Android will not actually allow an app to use undeclared permissions. The most rational explanation is the codebase is shared with different version of the app (possibly not released) that had different manifests.

It also makes a big deal of checking if running as root. That is not evidence of having an escalation exploit. If they have an ability to get root before running the app why would they need to use the app to exploit it? They could just do whatever they wanted and avoid leaving traces in the app. Though I doubt they would root phones to just brick them. It's the kind of mischief you would expect from a kid writing viruses, not an intelligence agency or criminal enterprise.

Users who root their own phones are very unlikely to run temu as root. In fact a lot of apps related to shopping or banking try to detect root to refuse to work as your system is unsafely. In any case it's a very niche group to target.

To keep things short, that 'study' does not really look credible or written by actual experts.

With the context of piracy in mind sites located beyond your own country's authority are a better choice as they are less likely to cooperate.

Of course unless you take measures your isp will know you 've been accessing that site. Additionally even though the domain is normally under Russian control your country's authority can actually order your ISP to have it's DNS direct you elsewhere.

Nope he is just a rich spoiled manchild on cocaine.

No it would just make Nvidia guilty of copyright infringement

Maybe it affects BSD and MacOS.

It also can affect some Linux systems based on configuration. Android doesn't implement the exploited standard at all and is always immune.

Word introduced line breaks

What?

You don't and that's a feature for Apple.

As an American, I feel like this is somewhat familiar, and would have negative consequences.

Fucking poetic

Which is better than bricking a machine

The IDF gives zero fucks

Pretty sure the IDF actually wants to kill Palestinian civilians. They are not merely indifferent.

If you ignore the fact that the generated images are not accurate, maybe.

They are very similar so they are infringing but nobody would use this method for compression over an image codec

Using copyrighted material for research is fair use. Any model produced by such research is not itself a derivative work of the training material. If people use it to create infringing (on the training or other material) they can be prosecuted in the exact same way they would if they created an infringing work via Photoshop or any other program. The same goes for other illegal uses such as creating harmful depictions of real people.

Accepting any expansion of IP rights, for whatever reason, would in fact be against the ethics of free software.

Definition Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide

Article II

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

in whole or in part. Not that you care, just for anybody wondering what the Geneva convention says. Though people should not base their morality on law, even UN law.

You should never have been on lemmy according to your stated goals of a 'safe' closed community. Your actions during the reddit exodus while you were still a big part of the lemmyverse (especially regarding communities) certainly did not do the rest of lemmy any good. Not that I think you care.

It's better for lemmy if you leave, it's better for your goals to leave so just do it.

They absolutely are and Christians were much worse towards women before social progress forced them to change their official positions or become irrelevant.

It is now apparent that they never really changed their ideas.

Coffee itself is addictive though.

It doesn't matter how 'insanely efficient' they are. If your tasks need to use more than 8Gb of memory you are going to run out and start swapping to disk.

8gb worth of data is not heavy lifting for professional use.

Awesome 👍

Pretty sure most people on windows do remote screen sharing via teamviewer or anydesk or discord. All of which exist for Linux.

Linux not being able to launch a game (that probably was not made for it) is not a relationship issue but a technical one.

Even if it is possible to run the game but you need to hack around your distro's configurations, you can be certain the default configuration was not made with the specific intent of preventing you from running the game.

In the Windows case you are not hacking around with the json file to solve a technical issue.

Windows is not misconfigured, it's Microsoft's explicit decision to prevent you from removing some of it's software even if it's forced by law to do so for other people.

It's ok if you don't mind Microsoft's behavior or you just find Linux's technical issues more important in choosing an OS. But the issues are not similar neither equivalent.

That's like your opinion dude. In actual law national airspace (the only airspace a nation can actually own) extents over territory (whether land or territorial waters).

So in reality recognizing airspace over Gaza as being Israel's recognizes Gaza as Israeli territory.

Frankly " injecting a command after shell-metacharacters" makes it sound much more mystical and arcane than"just use the normal one liner syntax to run 2 commands"

De facto truth is that French air force conducted air drops of supplies in uncontestedly Israeli airspace above Gaza.

Israel is not going to attack French military aircraft, it will be political suicide.

I also do not understand your fixation on commercial overflight which is irrelevant here.

He is a US citizen since 2018.

But if someone already owns an iPhone he should not need to buy another hardware option.

Not that he needs to justify what he does with his property to the manufacturer or randos on the internet.

The genocide of Palestinians by Israel has been going on way longer than Hamas has existed.

I am no armchair legal scholar, I 've already argued against placing too much value on legality. It is you on the other hand who tries to minimize the severity of Israel's wrongdoings by arguing pseudo-legalistic semantics.

If the 1948 convention never existed, Israel's actions would be just as reprehensible.

Sure they will store everything till it's cost effective to crack the encryption, on everything some randoms send each other.

Intelligence will do that for high profile targets, possibly unsuccessfully.

Copyright holders.

Fixing a bug for a fee will create a liability and obligations for the developer. Should you mess it up, Microsoft will have no issue burying you to save even just face.

I can see him getting into a long term relationship that could guarantee the projects survival long-term,(and you at least invest some money for a lawyer to tell you what your are signing on for). For something that would get a few months for the project not so much.

What scares me is that, people are going to stop paying attention and dismissing actual antisemitism and hate crimes.

Israel is probably more concerned with moving it's ethnic cleansing of Gaza/West Bank forward than protecting Jewish people in the USA.

You are right stabbings do happen elsewhere it's the guns that set America apart.

Should Photoshop check your image for copyright infringement? Should Adobe be liable for copyright infringing or offensive images users of it's program create?

The addons on the store are signed and you can install them from an xpi file in regular Firefox.

Try it.

That's ridiculous as even summaries themselves are protected. You can find book summaries all across the web (say wikipedia).
