Wdym, their burgers and chicken tendies are pretty good

Wireguard is even easier

This device looks to be supported by the custom firmware project over here: https://mrchromebox.tech

Basically it allows you to replace the stock firmware and just run regular ol' Linux, entirely replacing ChromeOS.

There's also a pretty good video outlining most of the process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6oyqrrXTLM

I grew up in rural Canada, but have been living in major metropolitan areas for most of my adult life. It still surprises me when I learn there are other adults that don't know how to chop wood, start a fire, work basic tools, etc.

That's beautiful, bro 🥲

Too bad for you, they already have the logos for some of the variants and that's exactly what they're going for.

It's almost as if TLDs are completely arbitrary.

This is anarchy!

Gacha games isn't a scam, it's just legalized gambling for kids. You get exactly what you paid for, a chance to win.

Wtf is this title?

I don't want this pseudo-political bullshit, I want dope Linux memes.

It's F2P, just don't buy any cosmetics and make a new account if it gets banned.

It's usually pretty easy to find secondhand Microsoft Surface devices for that price point (check craigslist, FB marketplace, and the like), and they absolutely rock when using a Gnome-based distro (like Fedora).

There's a great project that works on Linux compatibility for Surface devices, you can check it out here: https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface/wiki/Supported-Devices-and-Features#feature-matrix

Pretty sure they mean they leave their sister to do as she pleases, and not shaming her for it.

Nobara is a great suggestion by @el_gringo_loco@lemmy.one, but I'd also throw out a suggestion for Bazzite if you want the "SteamOS"/Steam Deck experience.

It does have the KDE desktop environment underneath to do all the non-gaming stuff as well, but if gaming is your number one focus, it's a pretty cool setup.

Redwall.

Do it in full photo realistic CGI; I want to see the beautiful castles and countryside, all the delicious food, and the gruesome battles in all their glory.

Why not put them all in one little baggy? That's how I buy my pills from Rick.

Yeah, I mostly use Linux. Unfortunately, certain games only run on Windows and you're stuck using it if you want to play those titles.

They can afford to not give a fuck about $29B, but you just know they aren't going to pay that full amount in the end.

Nobody has mentioned the guided installer that now ships with the vanilla Arch iso: archinstall

I've done the Arch installation from scratch a few times to add some inches to my e-peen, but the CLI installer does everything so nicely that I haven't bothered with a manual install for a while now.

I generally choose gnome (wayland), and add pamac-nosnap from the AUR, and it's a super user friendly experience. Especially if you choose to use BTRFS during the install and then setup timeshift and add the timeshift-autosnap package once you are in the DE. For the handful of times I've ever had an issue with a package update, I just roll back to a previous snapshot and I'm back in action.

I dunno, you ever sucked a dick?

Just show WSL running in the terminal and you're good 😉

I use Linux everywhere I can, but my main rig is Win10 Pro, as I play a few games that will not run on any other OS.

That being said, I use tabbed file explorer, a package manager (Scoop through terminal, and winget-ui for GUI), a top-down taskbar, and as much FOSS as I can use for my workflow. I lovingly call my setup "Winux", because any MS user who sees it thinks it's Linux.
