Absolutely hate any game that's long for the sake of being long. Take AC Valhalla. Halve that game, turn it into a less open/less grindy game, a narrative mode if you will. This is a bit open ended depending on type of film, screen watching it on, codec etc.

Personally if I'm watching on my 65inch OLED. I can be happy with 30mbps HEVC. However if it's a cartoon style then 15mbps is fine. On the other hand if it's a dark film, then I absolutely want the 4k bluray rip, compression in dark areas on an oled can be really noticeable.

I do however have a gigabit connection and buckets of storage so I tend to just get the highest bitrate I can.

Similar with android. I had a pixel 5 and loved it, the pixel 6 pro came out and I was dragged in (higher res screen, 120hz etc etc). Then the pixel 7 pro came out and I bought that too (mainly for signal improvements).

Looking back, my pixel 5 did/does everything these do. I've decided my next upgrades will be whenever the below happens:

• Phone broken
• No more updates
• Feature I need, and I mean need (it would be hard for a phone to come out to do this)

I don't need some random AI features/camera improvments. 99% of my phone use is podcasts, browsing the internet and any phone from the last 5 years will do that nicely still.

Here's a list of my useful ones that I didn't see used in this thread.

• Seal - this is a YouTube downloader. I love this for extracting audio from videos to listen as a podcast, quick and easy.
• URLCheck - this when set as a default browser will intercept links to remove trackers, check them against known phishing links, redirect links etc etc. Probably my favourite app!
• Transistor - radio app, just simple and works can't beat it.
• Birday - birthday manager so you can check and see who's birthdays are coming up.
• Tasks.org - I love this task manager, took a bit of setting up how I like but it works great. Ticktick became really bloated and sluggish so I switched.

Depending on the type of chicken I follow a few methods.

I tend to keep my library at 1080p for plex (remote users). Then have a seperate library for 4k films. I then download 4K films only as and when i'll watch them and purge them when I wont watch again (Can always re-download)
