I have a job, I can't do it most of the time because I'm on Lemmy or Reddit or YouTube or Overwatch, etc., but if I really really need to do it, I close everything, and open it again, then close it again and basically torture myself into focusing on it, and by the time I realize, I'm kinda focused on it, until I'm too tired and then that's it, I can't focus any longer for the rest of the day.

I have an addon that makes watched videos gray and adds a WATCHED tag to them. Makes it more satisfying to browse, knowing you won't get tricked into wasting time rewatching something. Now you can waste time watching NEW useless stuff.

Containers addon. And it has bookmarks decades old. Remove both and I wouldn't care much. I'm also more familiar with it. It feels more natural due to this. I feel more comfortable on it. More at home, less scared.

If you read the post, that's a known bug. It doesn't work for lemmy world. I think lemmy world doesn't allow the API to be used from the ip address I send the requests from. A local deploy fixes this issue as the IP address of your local computer would fare better. This is just a speculation. It worked for me locally. Sorry to disappoint.

i do think it's way better than jerboa for many things, especially for a multi-account user who likes to swap onto other instances a lot. but its room to grow is obviously enormous. I won't try to discredit the devs, this is an amazing app for something so early in the game.
