I just set up jellyfin last week. I am using a refurbished Dell optiplex 3050 micro running Ubuntu as server. I followed instructions on jellyfin documentation for installation. It was super easy, I was done in few hours.

I also used TecHuts Ultimate Jellyfin Media Server Guide for reference. Jellyfin have updated the installation process, so instructions on the video is slightly outdated. 1 command installs everything.

I know, I am one who tries to practice 😛

To make the server accessible via internet, it's a VPN service.

You could do it without tailscale too, but using it makes things extremely easy.

As far as I know, yes. It's like asking can I switch from Hotmail to Gmail? Make an account on Lemmy.world, and you should still be able to follow your favorite community hosted in lemmy.ca

Pixel 6a. Was using pixel 4 before I washed it with my trouser, best phone I have owned. I miss headphone jack. I don't have any Apple products other than a iPad.

How much are you paying for tailscale?

Not a fan of turn based combat in the Yakuza series. I guess I would just watch gameplay for the story. Wish an option to change combat style be implemented.

Other way round makes more sense, I think.
