Those who use Firefox on a low-end laptop or any such low-spec machine, what tinkering have you done to get the best experience?

I do have an SSD, and it's a huge improvement from an HDD no doubt!
replace ur cpu thermal paste to avoid thermal throtltling and make sure it makes good contact with heat sink+clean fan with brush

Hmm, you reckon? I do have another RAM slot empty (8GB (currently in use) + 8 GB (empty right now)).
Seems like I should add more RAM to my laptop for now.
I don't see any downside to these updates though, to be very honest.

I already use uBO and it's terrific! But yes, I don't think much can be done because my old CPU is the main issue here and it can't be replaced sadly.
Not sure if it's happiness per-se, but I'm excited about joining uni next week.
I would be more than happy to try Linux, but until now I just thought I shouldn't before I try it on a secondary machine, something that I don't have at the moment.
But right now, it seems that I am just missing out. Would try Linux Mint this week if possible!

It still isn't THAT fast on my okayish laptop, but on my friend's beast of a PC (I made him switch to Firefox last year lol), this browser runs amazing. It gives chromium browser a run for their money, really. So I guess it all depends on hardware.
God I wish I had a good system and not just a laptop with a 6th generation processor :( Because Firefox since v113 has been improving drastically.
Seems like I've finally found a fellow human being who uses a modest system like me, haha. Similar specs, and I too use a debloated version of Windows 10- it works very nicely.

Nice. But I'd rather have an SD card slot, headphone jack, and a bigger, removable battery. Seriously, I don't give a fuck otherwise.

The August update fucked this app up with shitty, slow-ass animations, and now this? Damn it, WhatsApp. Meta ought to bloat everything it seems.
Funny because I thought so too, but actually went ahead with it on my Nord CE 2. Fixed my battery issues amazingly well.
