I think most people sadly don't use subscription feed. They just blindly watch whatever youtube algorithm throws at them.

I mean thank fuck, they at least do that for their most expensive controller. Maybe they should just stop scamming us, and use "hall effect sensing joysticks" too.

Yeah, but I'm sure a lot of people just bought youtube premium. I know my friend did...stupid idiot.

GrapheneOS is still just for pixel phones right?

More people being aware of lemmy on reddit is also good thing in the long run isn't it?

Still not enough. Too much engagement and people doing actual art pieces.

It's probably best sticking to samsung, if she's already familiar with it. I don't know which models are sold in your country, but something from "A" series is probably most appropriate. Like A23 for an example.

Also maybe buy a big chunky phone case and figure out some sort of gps tracking in case of losing the phone.

If AI can replace your writing you're not a very good writer. Specially our dumb little chatGPT. Maybe in a few years...maybe.

For troubleshooting, I still turn to reddit. This is just unfortunate reality of:

  1. Massive community
  2. Very old website
  3. Google search algorithm

But I am confident tides will shift to lemmy sooner or later. And if I am unable to find answer on reddit, I'm sure I'm gonna ask it here not on reddit.

He was joking. xD

Wow thank you! Finally app let's me swipe between posts.

Join some good private tracker, so you can download full dvd/bluray discs (bonus content included).

But I'm not sure where to get encoded movies with bonus content. I know there are some on 1337x. Maybe find specific group on 1337x that does this.

Either way best to find nice private tracker.

2 hours is more than enough for general impression IMO. Just imagine watching a 2 hour movie that is boring AF. I can't judge them for quiting.

As a KDE user and a very new Linux user, this is a little disappointing. I'm glad it didn't happen to me.

Nooo, I wasted so much time yesterday importing subreddits manually. But still thanks for sharing.

Of course I agree. But it's still not that great game design, if you are bored for hours. It's like people telling me about tv show that gets good after first season. What should I do until then... :)

I can't wait anymore!!! But I will.

I use jdownloader2. Mostly because I never learned to use yt-dlp.

  • Factorio
  • Age Of Empires 2
  • Portal 2

I wish companies would have the balls to do this.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-resumer/ is one of my favorites. It resumes video where you left.

Gulkit said they will do it, but I'm not sure, if it's anything available yet.

First time I tried switching to linux I went with mint and I had a lot of problems, everything I hated about windows seems to be even worse there. I switched back to windows for a year but last month I gave linux another shot with Manjaro. And I managed to fully switch to linux without any big problems so far. There is a lot to like about it, especially for a linux begginer like myself.

I am not really qualified to recommend it, but my experience as a noob has been great (gaming with linux native games and windows games, watching movies, customizing things, modding games...)

Google play is fucked for many years now. Gone are the days of Gingerbreads, Ice Cream Sandwiches and Jelly Beans.

I don't mind those posts. But I am on the other hand slowly getting bothered by your kind of posts. They seem to be posted more often than any other reddit related news/shittalking.

I'm just hoping they also remaster resident evil 5. I would love to play it coop with my brother, one more time.

It's more accurate, faster and it remembers position "for ever". Even for an example when I am watching 3hour podcast and I misclick and close the browser. Next time I open the video I am on the same exact position as I was before. I never had this experience with vanilla youtube. It's very unrealible. At least this was my experience every time.

I totally agree with you. They had something special with the wolf among us. I was very excited when they announced the sequel, but sad to hear your news about firing the team.

Tales from the Borderland would be on second spot for me. Following the Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Batman. But for the for the last three, I really don't remember much anymore.

That's good news in my eyes.

Just use letterboxd, it's great. And for tv shows you can use serializd.

Thank you! Very useful.

You don't have any local Dutch tracker for such things?

I understand your point. But, if I take your example of mount and blade. If it's starts off strong with 50 hours of fun, that's a win in my book. But yes, in this regard steam ratings fail, because of binary recommend or not recommend voting. On the other hand, you can see how many hours did the user that posted a review played, so you can kinda make your own decision.

Also, I would like to add that games like dwarf fortress, rimworld, factorio and similar, all start of fun, if you're into this genreā€¦.at least for me, they did. Thinking back, I think I never experienced playing a game for X hours having a horrible time, and somewhere in the middle changing my mind. At least from the gameplay standpoint. Maybe sometimes story had some unexpected bump in quality (thank god), but not really core gameplay.

Overall, I agree with you, 2 hours is too little for a complete review of a video game. But these are user reviews that can be helpful as well. For an example, for someone who hasn't that much time to invest in a game to get to the good part. Professional reviewers (or people who have themselves as professional) should play the game for a suitable amount of time, before making an informed review.

If you need to use /s you're someone who usually don't get it.

I hope so.

Yeah, probably :/

I guess all content creators are influencers to some degree. Personally, I feel the word influencer doesn't apply to people I follow. Yet this may be because of me; I find it that ads really don't work on me. And I don't worship internet content creators like some people do.

Censorship is censorship; I mean, it's their right, but it still stinks. One day they can/will remove all sexual mods for being too misogynistic, etc.

Basically, fuck people crying over pronounces and fuck Nexus Mods.
