Corporate America and its constant need for fucking validation

Ooh I like this. Especially since he hates strong smells.

That's the goal. There's some drama right now that makes that really hard, but within a couple years that's where we're headed.

Pure evil.

That would be especially funny because he's Mormon, and he's very upset I'm not.

If it's Boeing I'm not going

My bank did this a few years ago. I bank somewhere else now.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I'm trying to stay close to my mom, and she's desperately trying to hold the family together, so if I don't do anything, he would play the victim and use my mom's hurt feelings against me. So I'm most likely going to just do something very generic, like you said.

Hm... I wonder if Walmart still has watermelon scented candles. "But dad, it smells just like summer!"

It's not my job. If it's vital work, someone can pay me for it. Otherwise it happens on my own terms.

Mormonism has a long history of these cases. They are all tragic. There is a database of abuse incidents at floodlit.org, but I'm glad mainstream news has started covering this issue more.

Yeah my wife loved the smell in the aisle, but it got old really fast at home lol

I downloaded all my comments before I deleted the data, and I'm slowly putting all the stuff that was actually important in places where I have a bit more control over how it's used (i.e., the fediverse, my own websites, etc). Not a perfect solution, but if Reddit wanted to keep it forever they should have treated us better.

Honestly that's kind of what I'm thinking. Then he has to store them, and he'd feel like he had to wear them at least once. Just a little upsetting for him.

Yeah I've thought about just doing a few candy bars or something. I think the sunk cost fallacy has kicked in, so I almost want to go higher effort but bad lol

Hm... getting him more work, I love it.

Lol I love it

pictures someone trying to catch fridges like in some kind of video game

... I usually don't stand on a soapbox in my shower

Is there a Lemmy equivalent of r/wooosh

I would fucking hope their plan to change their company involved some fucking changes. No fucking shit, Sherlock.

Feeling a smidgen of rage. Pardon my outburst.

Amen and I think you're preaching to the choir on that one lol

My wife suggested "number one sad" with a card explaining that he was, in fact, my first dad lol

Hey that would be easy, he hates football!

Hell, Michigan lol

I totally would but he'd throw a whole fit lol. Maybe for his birthday in a few months...

Poor explanation. No images of non-birds for comparison.

Poetry.
