Who goes there ?

Putting everything on discord makes information unsearchable via search engines, which is objectivily not great. This recent habit is contributing to killing the web.

On a more subjective note, I just don't like it. On the top of my head : Confusing interface, wont' shut up about nitro, requires a phone number.

Yet somehow more expensive.

I don't think so. I would like that as well.

AI girlfriend?

This guy tomatoes.

Yes! I tried it again this weekend because of this. After all this time, you still cannot rebind the keys of the building mode, which is ridiculous and makes this game difficult to enjoy for me.

Very hyped for 2.0. I'm on yet another Factorio playthrough, this time on the steam deck. This game on the go is brilliant. Gamepad support is very good, framerate is solid. The devs really did a fine job.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately I play via proton so autohotkey is not an option. I tried autokey which is a linux alternative but weirdly, while the key swaps worked on the desktop, it didn't have an effect within the game for some reason. I'm sure there is some way it can be done but I couldn't be bothered spending the time fixing it for this game which I don't have much hope i'll even like.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Subscribed, thanks for sharing.

Cheaters are a big problem in this game. To experience the cool parts of the game without all the bulshit, there is still SPT-AKI for playing solo and also the SIT mod for PvE multiplayer coop.

Same, but I might switch to Boost for lemmy when it's out.

I've tested jellyfin this week on my dedicated server. It's cool but most of my files need transcoding to be played on the browser, which my weak server CPU cannot handle. The best option I found to stream any file format without eating up all server resources on this machine is to set up a simple nginx server with autoindex streaming the files to VLC. I use the "Open with VLC" browser extension to quickly open the links. Playback performance is quite good (scrubbing is fast) and everything plays well.

Lemmy.world is still running version 0.17.4, that might explain your issues.

In case you didn't know, you can also browse communities from https://browse.feddit.de/

Even the first versions of steam that came with hl2 back in the day were more usable than epic's trash launcher.

Great write up, thanks. I recently discovered BAR and I'm impressed how good it is. I shoud give Xonotic a try :)

Consider a dual boot if you ever try in out. You won't be able to play all games on linux because of anti-cheat unfortunately 😔

I got the Flydigi Vader 3 and i'm very happy with it. The sticks are butter smooth. The buttons are very clicky.

I just run proton 8 and switch to experimental or GE when troubleshooting a game that doesn't work, which is rare.

Definitely. The comment structure is what got me into reddit in the first place. I love that Lemmy uses it as well.

Seconding this, FreeTube works quite well.

Cool to see. I might buy this game :)

In case you don't know, you can do an interactive rebase and amend any past commit, not only the latest.

If the commits were already pushed to a remote, you can still do it but need to add --force or --force-with-lease to your next git push to make it overwrite the remote branch.
