You can find me spending most of my time moderating and sharing in

Matrix: @helloharu:matrix.org

It is an option, and uses the same drive that is available for the PS5 Slim - the one you have.

So glad I’m not going through this any more. I think I’d rather be single than do online dating again.

Sounds pretty manipulative to blame the fallout of their own shitty decisions on others.

Tough, China already called it.

Well that’s disappointing, but glad the lemmy.world team are making sure they are on top of it and keeping transparency with all that you do. Thank you.

Jesus Christ, why?

It is an honest shame, there was a lot of talent brought in, but honestly not surprised it ended this way.

I absolutely adore that game, but in all honesty I’m not sure I want a straight adaption. When I finished the game I was left feeling like wanted more beyond the game, I want to see more of the world and lore that the writers built.

I don’t either but this is such a great discussion. I’ve come across quite a few interesting sounding games here. Thanks OP.

Remember that time when Peter Molyneux said he wasn't going to speak to the press or about games anymore?

"I understand that people are sick of hearing my voice and hearing my promises. So I’m going to stop doing press and I’m going to stop talking about games completely."

Would there be any reason for anyone, like myself, who doesn’t already own a steam deck to not get an OLED model? I’m definitely interested.

I don’t believe you’re wrong here in saying that. These don’t seem like unreasonable asks at all, and something I’d expect to be normal standards for the industry.

Tunic uses the idea of a video game manual in such a wonderful way. Its not just a “hey this is what the buttons are, the interface is and a couple of character bios” kind of manual. The devs have made it a core part of the games experience as it guides you through literally the whole game and its secrets without even telling you that’s what it’s doing.

If you’ve not played it you need to experience it for yourself, it’s brilliant.

They may as well rebrand it The Geoff and Kojima show.

I’m planning on ordering one when they’re available, it’ll be my first, so find it quite exciting reading about all the small improvements they’ve made.

I was recently looking for a song on Spotify that I remembered enjoying, what must’ve been 10 year ago. It had been removed from Spotify (greyed out in a playlist) but I sure as shit found it quickly on YouTube, uploaded by some random person.

This is great, one of the reasons I’ve not had my PS1&2 setup in my “gaming area” is because of the lack of reach on the official controllers from my unit (also loads of wires). So this definitely interests me!

Ubisoft Exec Says Gamers Need to Get 'Comfortable' Not Owning Their Games for Subscriptions to Take Off

I’m already comfortable not owning any Ubisoft games.

Seriously, I will be quite happy missing a game or franchise if there’s a lack of physical media in their lineup of releases. I know it doesn’t make sense for every game, but if it’s to push me towards a subscription service, then I’m just not going to be a customer.

Ridge Racer - Namco have really done it dirty and would love to see it revived. Take it back to basics as a pure arcade racer without the Burnout nonsense.

Timesplitters - Just pleeeeaaase.

Alundra - It was a JRPG on PSX and nothing ever came after the second game. It had loads of potential.

SSX - I still love the stupidity of those early games. Would love to see a fun another snowboarding game that doesn’t take it self seriously.

Reports have also suggested TimeSplitters studio Free Radical is facing closure.

Well, there goes all my hopes and dreams.

I think I’d rather deal with the inconvenience of hooking them up when I need, than the anxiety that I’m living with a fire hazard like this.

I wish they would fix the OSK issue where it does not show when using the shortcut (STEAM + X) but would when opening it from the ... menu.

Drives me mad.

It would seem so to me. When there’s a big disparity across the ratings - positive and negative are similar on metacritic with little in between - it raises a lot of red flags to me.

Why though?

seems to be because he's never played any of the games to understand that, thats why.

Dude must be living on croutons.

This looks great, but not holding out any hope of it not being stuffed full of micro transactions.

That said, that still leaves a whole year where both brothers were just sitting on the money. If they really are looking for "the right place" to donate the money to, they'd better pick a place/places fast and get that money out.

Sorry I don’t know much about these guys and how they operate, so it may need explaining, but that rings alarm bells for me. Why didn’t they know and communicate that with everyone donating to begin with? I’m not sure I’d have parted with any money if I didn’t know upfront where it was going.

Looking at Twitter, there’s been a massive demand. It took me nearly 30mins to get my order in so it was certainly possible for regular users.

It’s such an awful site, and always surprises me when I see it being used/shared. Surely when it comes to tech there are better resources than a tabloid for it.

The first is a commitment to make available technological controls to effectively restrict anyone under 18 from acquiring a loot box without the consent or knowledge of a parent or guardian. Many of these controls are already available on games platforms but aren't as widely used as they could be. The new principles set out best-practice for their use in an effort to increase take-up.

The second is to drive awareness of those controls with a public information campaign. An expert panel will be set up to share best practices on age assurance issues.

This is pretty pathetic and limp. They need to take a stronger stance on this than just get parent/guardian agreement - we already know how this will go and that circumvention is just going to be lying about age.

There’s too many polygons for this to be her actual design.

People seem to forget that the ATB stuff started to come in at IV/V. I'm not sure I want the turned based mechanics and gameplay of games like FFII for the sake of misplaced nostalgia. Give me ATB any day over that.

I was on the fence for ages over whether it was going to be worth it. Thought I was taking a risk when I ordered the OLED one at release on a whim. It wasn't a risk, the machine is incredible. I love it.

Is it much of a surprise when it comes to MiHoYo? Their entire model is based around this kind of thing.

I remember finding out Ridge Racer V was using them when it was released, and as cool as it was, it just seemed rather pointless. Sensitivity margin was so thin you had to be quite delicate with it.

I’m seeing 229M. It seems to be cache at the moment causing discrepancies.
