when posting to lemmy, your 1st sentence will be the title of the post
any text on the 2nd and next sentences will be part of the body
so I'd suggest placing the @ (tag/mention) after the 1st sentence

i have a test account in lemmy and markdown is working as expected

@AceFuzzLord i'm not even sure if the people who are against this is enough to form a revolt. As i stated on one of my comments, most of the users don't care whoever leads the way in technology until it affects them personally.
