Xbian is like this too, for Raspberry Pi SBC’s. Kodi keeps getting faster, smoother, more stable, better…all the good things. And it’s brilliant if you still have a non-smart tv and are inclined to sail the open seas flying a Jolly Roger.

I’ve a RealDebrid subscription and stream from their servers to my kodi. Not just Amazon, all the services. $3/month, give or take. Might take a few hours/days for something to pop up, but I often don’t realize days that shows are “airing” or released, so I’m pleasantly surprised when it pops up as available.
Iirc for the tv remote to work all you need to do is make sure your CEC options are correct in settings. I use an app on my phone - easier to type searches in.

I’m so sorry, but I don’t much care. I stopped paying attention to all the political fiddling when Rome started to burn during the “walking humidor” scandal decades ago. Things just keep getting torn down and added to the dumpster fire. Out with the old and in with the new world power, I say.
