Have you ever heard about NSA?

This is why Fediverse can never compete with centralized social media. Mastodon and Lemmy to be specific are obsessed with defederation. Because users on platforms like Reddit and Twitter are used to having access to everything. Not waking up suddenly and realizing they've lost access to a large number of communities they were part of just until last night. All in the name of creating "safe space".

It’s an unpopular opinion, but… It’s Ironic to criticize X on porn in fediverse. The same fediverse that is obsessed with banning instances for porn. Remember Switter? An instance, made for sex workers. What happened to it? Banned by almost all major instances, forcing them to shut down. Or how Lemmy instances defeserate NSFW instance. At least X doesn’t do these shenanigans.

P.S.: if any company is to be blamed for limitation on sexual content is Apple.

I’m curious how awful exactly. Been using 545 since it was released (on Arch) and except for frame drop on X11, on Wayland it’s working flawlessly and I’m even playing games on it!

It’s always amusing when someone say fediverse is good for the users, when fediverse gives zero right to the users. Pretty much every service in it is made with giving 100% of control to the admin. Admin can suspend and take down anything and any account without notice or explanation and user has no way of asking for an appeal. I mean yes. Fediverse is nice. I even run my own mastodon and Pixelfed instances. But please, let’s not fool ourselves. About Mozilla, they’re just being what they’ve been in recent years. Hypocrites. The company that claims to care about privacy, but implement privacy invasive settings and services (pocket) by default. And now they just want to create a platform focused on censorship. Thats why they’re interested in fediverse.
