uBlock Origin, it's not even close!

I think it should be a "copy community" feature, then mods can just prevent posts in the old community and make a sticky that points to the new location.

Making users automatically subscribe to a community on a different instance (even if it's "the same community") is pushing it a bit in terms of moderator power. Also makes things worse in terms of exploits and others have pointed out.

It's not a prediction, {Company} will simply push whatever future that benefits {Company}.

I was walking behind two dogs and their owner. I was walking faster than them and one of the dogs looked at me and proceeded to persistently move the other dog to the side so that I could pass. It was absolutely clear it knew what it was doing :)

In a year I had over 200 DAYS played on World of Warcraft back in 2005-2006. That's over 13 hours a day, then I quit abruptly and later tried a couple of expansions casually.

Second is probably Counter-Strike 1.#. No idea actual playing time but would estimate around 1000 hours.

The above two I don't regret spending my time in. Made a lot of friends and it all felt rewarding.

Then there are games like Civilization VI (~200 hours), Rimworld (~300 hours), Tropico (~200 hours) and even Path of Exile (~500 hours). These games are not really rewarding, other than little dopamine hits that gets you continuing playing forever.

Edit: Added hours!

I would be satisfied if Bethesda did stick to their "ancient ways". Focusing more on environments and immersion rather than character-driven storytelling like any other RPG. Of course they did neither for Starfield unfortunately.

I can afford to buy or subscribe to services but at this point streaming is just more annoying than pirating. With pirating I can use my favorite player (mpv), maximize video quality (high quality blu-ray rips), watch offline, no bugs or buffering, instant seeking et.c. As for games I might pirate a game before buying it but usually I just buy it since it's convenient (unless it has intrusive DRM).

Make another post in 2 months, if it still has no cumstains I accept your proof.

I'm European. My first thoughts go to immense and diverse cultural heritage, pollution, amazing food, food sickness...

Windows 11 still feels like a beta... Have they completely given up on quality?

Bethesda have made some of my favorite games, especially Elder Scrolls but this time I'm just not very interested. I read they added procedural generation which seems like the worst choice possible when the strength of their games always has been environmental storytelling (as in you explore and stumble upon things that make the world feel "lived in").

I'll buy the game later, might as well wait for patches, mods and such!

It was so easy to spend time in early WoW. The community was awesome before all the sharding and LFG/LFR tooling!

The issue is that users might object to subscribing to a community on a particular instance. I guess it's not the end of the world, you can always unsubscribe but I can imagine some people being very upset to be associated with certain politically leaning instances or worse.

  • Counter-Strike
  • SiN
  • Delta Force
  • Baldur's Gate

Counter-Strike overtook the others by a mile in the 00s but in the 90s I probably enjoyed Delta Force more actually.

Wait I forget about consoles:

  • GoldenEye 64, opened my eyes to FPS I guess
  • Wave Racer 64, was the staple racer in our household

It's simply disgusting, it's not political, it's gag inducing.

Horse meat is not rare here in Sweden. Nor is moose or reindeer.

I agree with holding off on Starfield. Bethesda games are usually instant buys for me but this time I'll probably wait years before buying it. My love for Bethesda games is all about exploration and for some reason they replaced handcrafted story-filled landscapes with procedural generated ones? Hopefully modders make some cool content that is worth exploring in the future :)

I use a 42" 4K monitor. Same working area as 4 x 21" 1920x1080 screens but more flexible. Been doing so for ~10 years. When my old 39" 4K monitor broke I used 2 x 24 inch monitors + laptop screen for a while but I ended up buying another big monitor instead, it's just so convenient.

I eat horse. I would not eat cat or dog because I've don't see them as food but I'm still more disgusted by insect meat.

I thought it was 1998 but the mod came out in 1999, then Valve bought them out and released it as a standalone game in 2000.

Usually just a physical SIM but I've used pre-paid eSIMs in other countries. Quite convenient!

Man this is gonna make me go vegetarian again...

I grew up eating seafood but I still hate dealing with it if I have to remove shells and clean it. Telling people to suck it up and eat something they don't want to eat makes no sense to me.

I have tried it for the novelty but I see no reason to make it part of my diet. It is disgusting to me and getting used to it would take a lot of time and suffering, for what reason? I've been a vegetarian before, I'd rather eat peas than insects.

Having a preference is not hypocritical. What the fuck are you saying LOL

Let's not forget the EULA difference. GitHub will own your code to a greater degree than the alternatives, in order to feed their AI. I don't think you can opt out?

Republicans certainly seem a bit insane but I don't see how I don't see how that means we should be ok with big business being arbiters of truth, with no oversight.

Business will further the interests of their shareholders, democrat, republican or not. Giving them carte blanche to "create truth" is giving the shareholders that power, most of which is controlled by a few investment banks. They do not care about us or societal problems.

The only consistent thing is coffee, green tea and water. I'm new to tea but it might supplant coffee entirely actually. Green tea makes me feel good :)

As for food I switch it up a lot but I often eat plain yogurt with muesli for breakfast.

I used to have a crush on the Olsen twins and I made it through some unbearable films back in the early 2000s. I could tell "Getting There" and "When in Rome" were truly awful even though I was a wee teenager. Luckily they stopped making films shortly thereafter.

I see no need for extra accounts :)

That's how I know I chose the right instance!

Humans being irrational? Well I would never...

I actually can't eat lobster either, the giant sea bugs creep me out. Shrimp I'll eat but not if I have to remove the shells and such. Obviously people are different and my disgust sensitivity might be higher than normal. I grew up in a household that ate a lot of seafood so it's not due to lack of trying.

Are you asking for big tech to decide what's true or not?

// Not American or conservative in the least, but the idea sounds dystopian to me.
