His first website (or company?) was named X and he said he has a fondness for the letter, hence his son's odd name, SpaceX, and the rebrand of twitter. He just likes the letter X.

Amazing to think how that probe is going to drift in the universe for billions of years.

You'd think people would start to get exhausted at some point. Maybe Trump's arrest will mark an end to an era of shit.

It worries me that you get a bunch of downvotes for this. People are way too accepting of political biases if they're in the direction they prefer.

I don’t really know what Hamas and Haniyeh and Sinwar want

Are you serious? They want the complete destruction of Israel. Have you never read anything Hamas has put out?

It's not that easy. There is constant information coming in all the time and intelligent agents need to parse signal from noise. It's not every single bit of intelligence regarding an attack comes into fruition. In fact, it's quite the opposite. This is an extremely difficult signal detection problem, one with lives at stake.

Side rant, but do you ever call in to support with a serious problem and they just by default treat you like a granny who doesnt know how to type in a wifi password? That whole process is so frustrating, and they never have the expertise to handle more sophisticated problems.

What about when it's more nuanced like "I support trans people to do whatever they want, but I don't support transwomen in women's sports." Or "I am cautious about transitioning young children until we have a better medical understanding of gender dysphoria." Seems like many here would still consider my perspective to be "hate speech," which I, of course, find ridiculous.

I don't know what is going on with this new magazine, but are you suggesting that we can't be critical of "woke" culture and/or aspects of trans culture? I think both have some excesses deserving of some criticism, e.g. witch hunts on social media and transwomen in women's sports.

Edit: Unbelievable downvotes over a completely reasonable take. Perhaps there is no hope for the internet after all.

Sorry, couldn't hear you over all my freedom

Someone has some biases

False equivalence. XY humans destroy XX humans in sports, it's why we have men's and women's divisions - women are a protected class. Allowing XY individuals in women's sports is not fair to women, and undermines the entire purpose of sport and a women's division. Look at it this way : men's division is really an open division, but we created a women's division for the purpose of fairness.

Second point, let's just say you don't know how much I know about this topic or these issues. The question of reversibility by using hormone blockers is still being debated. We simply do not have enough data to know if its safe. You cannot treat hormone manipulation as some simple process. There are many feedback loops involved in the HPG axes.

Oh boy, here we go with the enlightened centrists label. Disagree with somethings on the left and right and now you're also a huge problem. Bravo

The real answer is that smart tech savvy people were first one reddit. Then the masses came. Then it sucked. This happened with literally every platform.

So how about he cuts reddits 2000 employees down to something reasonable so they don't have so much on their payroll then? Like how the hell do they need 2000 employees when volunteers do everything. They were literally at 600 just two years ago.

It was an amazing film, so the methods worked.

Didn't he say a long time ago it's going to become "X"

Awesome, any idea what kind of imaging they used?

No it was not - it was done too fast with too little oversight and lots of trust in the good nature of the people.

Been wondering the same, thanks for asking

Big difference between a job and a project. Projects will have crunch time. Relentless revisions is going to drive any team mad - but this director looks like they were striving for perfection and they made a fantastic film. Project work is not for everyone. Just quit if its not the environment you enjoy, but some people like to strive for that, and yes, time matters otherwise you become star citizen.

Inequality is getting worse so it makes sense. I am pro capitalist myself but it needs checks and balances to make it work (ie monopoly busting, higher taxes, stronger social safety nets). Some of the checks have eroded, but they can be brought back, and I am waiting for evidence that a better system can sustainably exist.

Batteries are cheap to replace.

But it's just radon - people have that shit in their basements all the time. I am curious if this could actually work. Like there is a limited amount of radon in the material, and once its out there in a thin layer, wouldn't it all vent off after a short period of time? Especially in the sun?

Holy crap there was an HD re-release? I am not even sure which one I actually played. I think it was just TIM 3.0 from 1995

So are you saying 23andme is lying about my ancestry

It is indeed nuance. Just because you're not well read or educated on the topic, doesn't mean I am not. I have been thinking about these things for years and years, and I do indeed have a formal education in biology. So, no, not a knee-jerk reaction, sorry. Again, I am all for letting trans individuals transition and exist how they want, and I am all for respecting pronoun usage, and whatever else - that is compassion towards fellow humans. I am just pointing out two aspects of this debate where I have my own thoughts that have some slight pushback on progressive perspectives.

Good

Oh please, we all realize this didn't take off as expected. Reddit has its grip

Don't just vote, go get fucking organized with community, and fucking fight.

And do what exactly? Hold a sign on a sidewalk and yell? It all revolves around voting. If your actions don't end up changing votes, then it's literally pointless.

Ridiculous that the only legitimate complaint against this is that it is an "eye sore." A small sacrifice for a massive gain. Additionally, I think they look really cool.

Diablo 4 apparently is doing well and rather well reviewed too. Seems like their best title since StarCraft 2

Do you have a credible source ?

Alright, well I disagree with you basically about everything. Project work is very different and people that just focus on it as a "job" and not a passion are poor workers that I'd never want on my team. I've encountered both working under me. I'm certainly not part of this antiwork rhetoric that is so popular these days on social media. So, agree to disagree.

Agreed - I think relabeling divisions as open and women (XX) divisions is the best solution. Other solutions I have heard include only regulating things at high levels of play, e.g., championships and other events that have prestigious awards. Joanna Harper has advocated the latter.

lmao its even a rodent too

Well that certainly is a hot take
