Final Fantasy VII, honestly. And it's not like I haven't tried to like it but it's just not that good to me. I'm a long time FF fan and I have played all but XI, but VII misses me. The music is bomb, for sure, and I love a few of the characters.
It's also talked about SO much by so many in the gaming community and I'm really just tired of hearing about it. I wish Square gave this level of love and attention to some of their other FF titles.

honestly, the entirety of the final fantasy tactics soundtrack is my jam. especially when you recall specific moments when a track was played during the game. they have so much punch and they're always so epic. the boss tracks rule!

See, I played through some of the remake and it was pretty cool for the most part, I just can't make myself finish it. But I LOVE Crisis Core. I guess I'm the oddball out here.
dude yes! final fantasy 12 is probably my second favorite soundtrack, if I'm rating my personal favorites from final fantasy in general. the world of Ivalice and the music he composed for it just hit different.
Finally decided to get Mass Effect Legendary Edition since it was on sale. It's been such a long time since I played the original ME and I hadn't gotten to the 3rd. Loving every moment so far. Gonna go for a renegade run across all three just to see what happens lol
Heya! I actually haven't played Frontier! Mostly on account of the fact that I don't actually have the means to play it, otherwise I would certainly give it a go. From what I've heard others say about it, they said its challenge stemmed from having to claw your way through, and it wasn't comfortable as their hands would cramp lol. Oh really? Variety in quests? Weapons? And I don't think there's anything wrong with some anime flair, though tbf, I wouldn't ever touch God Eater for that very reason. That one is too anime for me.
I would still try Frontier though. MH has easily become one of my favorite series. I'm still slowly getting through MHGU also but there's just sooo many quests, holy shit.
Did you ever try Wild Hearts, btw? Sucks it flopped bc I still to this day wanna try it. Looks so fun but I've seen and heard all the things lol.
finally got sunbreak for monster hunter rise a couple weeks ago! tmrw is my friday so im pumped to get into it.
do you have any screen and/or projector recommendations? i will be moving soon and will more than likely end up selling my smart TV. was thinking to buy another TV but reading your comment has me more inclined to go to the projector side.

couldn't agree with you more, my friend! eruyt village immediately comes to mind. such a beautiful track. the beauty of the viera something as well! if you hadn't played ff tactics advance beforehand, you probably wouldn't have seen a viera before then. so it really just pulls you in. did I randomly go into the village just to hear the track from time to time? absolutely.
it looks like it's going to be a banger. the style of it is sick as hell, really excited for it!

Great now that it's Monday. Today is my Friday, currently at the doctor's office and have work in a few hours. Ready to get it over with and just chill lol
im playing that too, and i would say the same. i love it so far. the voice acting is wonderful, the music and the storytelling is top notch as well. but something about it gives me this strange feeling i can't quite place. first it was that feeling that i couldn't believe it was here and i was playing it. it felt like a dream for a good bit. but as I've played more idk what it is. idk if it's the pacing, or the lack of an overworld, or what. i can't tell if it's good or bad either way though.
final fantasy is my favorite series, so i don't wanna sound too biased here. but the demo is fantastic imo. that opening number during the eikon battle was AWESOME. it started to sound like another familiar ff tune in the moment but then came into something of its own and i was blown away. so i at least feel music won't be an issue.
gameplay wasn't bad either. linking together combo strings was hit or miss for me at times but that's just needed practice i suppose. i wish eikon battles were more involved but we'll see. i concur with everyone else that the voice acting was superb. usually English dub is something i avoid bc it tends to be kinda cringe in games like these but i will definitely be playing it in English. who wouldn't want to hear Ralph Ineson?
the overall tone and story telling of the demo was great too, i feel. the cutscenes are nicely done and really get you immersed in the story. everything so far that i have played and seen has me excited.
that said, i just hope it stays on this track throughout the entirety of the game. that's what im most nervous about, honestly.
it depends on the pants and how tight fitting they are. if they’re tighter i’ll usually have it in my rear left pocket. occasionally i’ll put it in my front right for easier access.
i think my problem is beating them. i got to a point in hollow knight where i wanted to get into the white palace but didn't have enough orbs, or whatever they're called. got really tedious when it came time to backtrack and find more so i put it down. i found that it's a bit harder trying to find where to go in that one too. but i enjoyed the atmosphere and art direction the most with hollow knight.
i do find that im enjoying dead cells way more though. just haven't completed a single run yet, but working on that. i have gotten pretty close.
i think about this a lot. would love to play through lost odyssey again fresh. it's my favorite game of all time and nothing has made me feel what i felt for that game. i invested every moment of free time i had into it, and it was the first game to make me buy a soundtrack lol. such a stunning gem in so many ways.
Oh I don't doubt it. I get tempted to choose the nicer options but I'm staying firm. I almost never go the bad/evil route in games like these so I'm excited to see how things are going to play out. Probably going to hate every outcome though lol.
Monster Hunter Rise and Deep Rock Galactic! Trying to increase my master rank and unlock all the Risen elders. Doing event quests that interest me, and finally taking a jab at arena quests.
DRG is just fun as hell and it's kinda relaxing at the same time. Not too far into it but greatly enjoying every moment.

Aaah, okay I gotcha now. Man, so you're a real MH vet! Even got Freedom Unite under your belt. That's pretty cool honestly! The oldest one I've played was MH3U I believe, the one on 3DS. Back then I didn't give it the time it deserved to properly learn it so I gave up on it. Gave World a chance super late after it released and been hooked since, so I'm trying to make my way backward the best I can. From the MH titles I have played, MHGU is definitely my favorite one, though. I really dig the style of the game, the use of arts, the animations. Still taking some getting used to, weapon control wise. I keep attempting to pull off combos that I can't, hahah. As I said, it's really just the sheer amount of quests. It's got more than any game I've played so far, certainly.
Oh dude, really? ~188 monsters? That's a massive roster, I love that, and the inclusion of yet another difficulty is amazing. I would love to see that kind of variety in modern MH, that's insane. And yeah, I heard about those! Wasn't the Magnet Spike kinda like Gunlance? I'll have to look up some footage but that's awesome, and I'm truly hoping that Capcom will bring those back, or something new entirely to the weapon selection in Wilds. I love most of the current weapon choices but I'm itching for something new to use, can't lie. Both sound like they were exceptionally fun to use though. Thanks for that rec, man!! Most definitely appreciate that.

enjoy your games man! i feel like ppl find it nerdy or look at it like it's a "no life" kinda hobby, which is pretty bs. there's far worse things you could be doing in your spare time. gaming has been my thing since i was like 5. im gonna be 31 this year and i don't intend to stop for anybody. i just don't think she can appreciate what it is and that's okay too. there's plenty of other gamer ladies out there. keep your chin up!
I always struggled getting friends into Monster Hunter, until recently. I still primarily solo everything but I got my one Canadian buddy into it (Rise, he said World was too slow and clunky. I'll take the win either way), and we hunt together when we have time to. My friends are always like "doesn't look like my kind of game," and sure, sometimes you can get an idea of how you'll like a game from watching gameplay. But they never even attempt to play it to see how it actually feels. They just dismiss it and move on. Feels bad, MH is fun as hell. One day I'll have a full squad lol.
