Riddle me this, why is there such a thing as proprietary drivers for anything? Especially consumer facing products like this?

Don't you want anyone and anything using your product in any situation? Help me understand NVIDIA's bit with this?

It's almost like they are both great performers and the "costume" is a part of the act.

Did I read that correctly?? 1.6 GB of registry files??

I don't quite understand this point of view. I'd be much more likely to nope out of a plane if I saw a Dixie flag and a group of guys like me muttering to themselves..

May it cause nightmares? Perhaps, but I'd feel safe and cozy in this plane..

Rules for thee, not for me?

Now USA, take a page out of the EU's book and kickthem in the ass as well.

My brain went "Firefox has what 7% market share? What's 50% of that?? Actually, that probably is 4x the 'Fediverse' user total right there"

Imagine if she was a him!

It's not "replacing", I don't think you can "replace" just the shear amount of information/images/shitposts on the site.

It however is serving as a fine "supplant" of the site. It's the same general image/link aggregation with the community of commenters...

I just saw a "faster linear algebra" package scroll by on pacman. I almost pulled up the source/documentation.

The only thing that stopped me was that I have about 199 things more relevant to my usage than linear algebra.

Well no, but actually yes

My gold standard app is a CLI where I have the option to visually add the flags. I'm thinking of the ytdlp-gui type programs.

I didn't even realize "app pinning" was a thing.

C is almost the old "steady" standard now it feels like. It's so flexible and the frameworks are already built..

Microsoft has been signing stuff that is being used maliciously.

Plus they have has their keys stolen to create malicious stuff...

fannie mae and freddie mac have this distinct dystopyian taste to me

If you're a work friend/acquaintance, yeah who gives a flying.

Now, the top ten "anime betrayal"s, those are the one's that hurt/stick with me.

Like orca's are terrifyingly smart. It's not the most ridiculous theory

Basically my intro to improved jpg is the Library of Congress Sanborn insurance maps. Either download and archive a 300MB TIFF or a 20 something MB JPG2000.

GIMP is a fine viewer for me, but it is incredible

Assembly is probably the closest thing to magic humans have ever created.

(I'm disqualifying String/Quantum as they are "theories" and not in common use)

Actually, let's not

This is the definition of "failing up"

Even that headline image is Jesus Christ. Temporally closed ramp onto a packed full outer road from a freeway that's sitting squarely in the E rating. (Can't move without major effort)

If you go far enough, everything is.

But SVGs are one of the few image types that can be human readable and editable

Yep. These graphs tell the story.

Anything over 190 is just fine for me.

Precisely. And maybe bring the grass to Lemmy a little bit

E: see my posts

That's horrifying

I read he and they has "variables" in the programming sense. Not the "h" "e" sense
