My god that is scummy. I am getting the sense that they will just force re-open all of the private subreddits, and Reddit will just continue on as if nothing happened. They'll be continuing on without any of my traffic though. I am done with companies manipulating and exploiting their users to generate profits.

Is there any downside to staying subscribed to their communities if I just want to see the posts? It's a shame because their communities seem to have the most posts at the moment.

I think the misconception here is that Microsoft would STAY pro-consumer after acquiring everything under the sun. Companies are forced to be pro-consumer when there is actual competition, and the opposite is almost always true without regulation.

Amnesia: The Bunker has been amazing so far. It has been checking all the boxes for effective, fun-to-play, horror. The gameplay loop and systems make it so it's easy to pick up and put down, where each adventure into the bunker feels like you are breaking some new ground before returning back to the central saferoom. The sound and level design are also perfect. All I can say is that it really does feel like I am in a sprawling WW1 bunker that has a horrifying eldritch monster burrowing in its walls.

Got it. I suspected that that was the case, so I went ahead and unfollowed from them. Hopefully this does not become a pattern, as I believe it defeats the purpose of decentralization.

As long as it's a consistent 30 fps, then I am fine with this decision.

Tears of the Kingdom has convinced me that as long as the performance is consistent, the only thing that matters is the gameplay.

But it is Bethesda we are talking about here lol.

The Golden Path is probably one of the coolest puzzles I've done in a game, ever.

Most of what I have seen on the meme communities I follow have been par-and-course with what I expected to see on internet. Although I agree that it is morally wrong to joke with malintent when someone passes, I think humor is a normal response to tragedy. As long as the memes aren't egregious about it, then they still get a chuckle out of me and help me feel better about the situation.
