OG Xbox is pretty easy to restore, would recommend that you do it soon. Some models have a battery that will leak. Also get thermal paste remover, the paste they used on the thing is more gum than paste. I could not remove it with alcohol or anything else, it was hell. Maybe also replace the fan with a more quiet fan. I had a lot of fun restoring it, really worth it!

My XR that I bought on launch was still going strong in its third year, until I dropped it in a lake. Only 20 cm deep, for 3 seconds, but it was enough to kill the screen :( I would probably still have it if that didn’t happen.

I was so lucky. I didn’t think I would be able to play it, still rocking a Pentium 3 700 mhz pre built pc with a ATI Rage 128 Pro. Im a huge fan of the Warcraft rts games but you are right. Especially the first Warcraft felt like an ancient game compared to the first C&C, the controls were horrific (no right clicking on resources to send peons to it lol).

Driving is my jam. I drove my dads car once all the way from east Greece to the Netherlands (2300 km) (it was still there and he was sick) and I regularly go to Switzerland or Italy to vacation (1000, 1200 km), and this summer I’m driving to Norway.
