Oh no! Not concerns! If only there was an open source, decentralized platform that had an active community that could address said concerns if they become an issue.

As an amateur web designer in the 90s and early 2000s, this speaks to me. I stopped web development when CSS became popular and I couldn’t wrap my head around it.

Is there a petition I can sign to scrap all this nonsense modern web progress and go back to that beautiful, dial-up friendly HTML?

Tell my WiFi love her

Isn’t it weird that only the white people in The Simpsons are yellow? There’s other races that aren’t yellow. And the Simpson’s world mirrors the real word; a large number of yellow people migrated from Eastern Europe to settle in Springfield.

I guess it’s better than the Doug universe, with people being either Caucasian or blue or purple. Very weird choice of representation, Nickelodeon! 👀

I use it as my primary computer. The handheld ergonomics and thumb track pads make it the most comfortable device I own. I am familiar with KDE / arch, so I am at home in desktop mode. I bought the cheapest one and added a 2TB SSD. I am considering dual booting or just removing SteamOS and installing a standard linux distro. It’s a great computer.

I have a friend who uses the same 4g chip that’s in a PinePhone via USB. This lets him use his Steam Deck as a phone. That’s way beyond my skill level.

I use it everyday, but only occasionally play games on it. I love it for Spelunky 2, Risk of Rain 2, Dwarf Fortress, Rocket League, and puzzle games. I don’t play too many 3d games on it. High performance games seem to run ok, but I don’t have the attention span or time for cyberpunk or similar games.

I’m glad you found this stick. I need help reaching something approximately that distance away. Let’s get in touch!

I’ve lived in a house that has a Black Widow problem for 14 years. I had severe arachnophobia when I moved here. Unfortunately, I don’t use poisons in my house, so my only option was to kill them by hand. The first several years, I would do regular patrols of my garage and yard at night to squish them. Night is the best time to kill them because they will usually sit in the middle of their nests. If they are not in the nest, I can usually find a bug to throw in the web that draws them out quickly. I had a favorite tool for the job, but anything screwdriver-ish will work. I know all their favorite spots, so it doesn’t take long to do a sweep. I also destroy the egg sacks.

I realize that without covering my house with poison, I will never be rid of them. More than anything, I just try to keep my floors and yard tidy with less spots for them to call home. Luckily, I have never seen one in the house other than a few juveniles. I think there is no food in the house for them, so the small ones that get in the house end up starving.

Most people go with poisons, so I thought I would pop in with my weirdness. Don’t worry about it too much. But also take precautions like not leaving your shoes where they could get in. And inspect boxes that have been in the garage before bringing into the house.

They all use springs. Modern garage doors use torsion springs which are safer. They look like a small rod mounted on the wall directly above the garage door.

This is great news. I’ve been using holoiso on my Steamdeck, but the package management is falling apart. I’m excited to try this out.

Anyone can guess anything! Give it a try!

I can guestimate the number of turkeys it would take to fill any given space. It’s my superpower.

In some countries Christmas is a national holiday. It’s simply the name of a holiday that affects everyone in my country (USandA). Because of that, it’s both a secular and religious holiday. So do what you want with that. Celebrate by worship, by spending money, by seeing family, or do nothing and enjoy the quietest day of the year (in my city, at least).

And not to mention that Christmas isn’t even a real holiday; the Christians just co-opted and modified all the solstice holidays of every culture they conquered. The only “reason for the season” is to indoctrinate. Merry Christmas!

8/10. I would definitely find a use for this stick on an adventure.

Depending on the games you play and the specs of your desktop, you may or may not be happier with the steam deck. I am a linux user and play basic games. It can play some more intensive games with lower resolution or frame rates. Doesn’t bother me, but some people are all about the highest fastest bestest.

No roof on Red Rocks, so you can stack about half a million turkeys in that space.

Screeching Weasel, NOFX, Pennywise, No Use For A Name, Rancid/Greenday for introducing me to punk.

REFUSED!!!! I discovered them way too late. They were a band ahead of their time!

All of the turkeys will fit

Goodbye Sober Day by Mr. Bungle. That ending usually turns some heads.

If you’re using Windows, Edge is an option. You already have the Microsoft telemetry watching you regardless of using Edge, so you might as well use it if you need chrome for testing or a specific website.

Same. The Deck is my main computer and Bazzite is a much better OS than the default. I only wish I could boot straight to Desktop Mode, because I rarely have time to play games anymore.

We love to spend money on our unrealistic fantasies. Maybe one day I’ll have time to play all these games, take the RV out to go camping, lift all those weights in the closet, and learn to play that pile of musical instruments. Oh what an amazing life I will live after I pay off these credit cards and get some time alone with my stuff.

I have a NewQ dock that snaps on the back of the SD and has a built in stand. 5/5 would recommend!
