The Slow Demise of Asbestos, the Carcinogen that Gave ‘The Wizard of Oz’ Snow https://archive.vn/CCy5x

Spread the news, many will fall for this!

Here here, fellow pirate!

Thanks for the article, learning aboutnthe positives.

On another note...

In February, President Joe Biden urged lawmakers to pass his billionaires' tax proposal, which would impose a minimum 20% tax on households with a net worth of more than $100 million.

It is a start, but may be too late in the game for the blue administration for 2024.

I have also heard of other positive things being pushed, in my bubble of politics.

Might be due to all the military conflicts around the world and union strikes, that are also starting to ramp up in the US.

Great post on the positive news. Thanks again!

Great quote!

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” — C.S. Lewis

Not too sure on that, US has many ways to force cease fires as good as starting coups.

I think if we had a president and congress that wanted it done, it would be done.

I don't think they will end.

I do hope to LMG to unionize as a minimum and that the CEO does a lot of changes in the culture of the company.

Thanks for sharing!

Looks like this is the norm now, Technofeudalism is here, goodbye capitalism.

Following the censorship over the years, looks similar to what happened with legacy media (main stream media).

In short, the Internet opened the door to a much larger, more diverse, and more vibrant world than I would have otherwise been able to experience; and enabled me to be an active participant in, and contributor to, that world. All of this helped me to learn, and to grow into a more well-rounded person.

In recent years, it seems like the whole world has become more ornery. Maybe that has something to do with the pandemic, or with political disagreements. Whatever the reason, people have become faster to attack, and slower to recognize each other’s shared humanity. One aspect of this has been a constant barrage of attacks on communication services, Omegle included, based on the behavior of a malicious subset of users.

Fear can be a valuable tool, guiding us away from danger. However, fear can also be a mental cage that keeps us from all of the things that make life worth living. Individuals and families must be allowed to strike the right balance for themselves, based on their own unique circumstances and needs. A world of mandatory fear is a world ruled by fear – a dark place indeed.

Unfortunately, what is right doesn’t always prevail. As much as I wish circumstances were different, the stress and expense of this fight – coupled with the existing stress and expense of operating Omegle, and fighting its misuse – are simply too much. Operating Omegle is no longer sustainable, financially nor psychologically. Frankly, I don’t want to have a heart attack in my 30s.

Sad drama, the relationship did not end in good terms...

It is crazy that Madison held on to all that for 2 years!

I hope a real independent party looks into all the accusations, while also having the local labor dept. and the like involved in audits. While also looking into other employee complaints.

We shall see what comes of the final investagations, it may take years...

Yes, dumpster fire, but that is why the CEO's "deserve" the big bucks.

Would be even better if LMG become a Co-op where the workers own part of the company...

Would be huge news in the tech world for a know youtuber to be forced by the workers to unionize or become a co-op.

Awesome!

Always like people that fight for right to repair!

Anyone know if Louis Rossman and these and other people have done collabs or something similar?

Louis Anthony Rossmann (born November 19, 1988) [2] [3] is an American independent repair technician, YouTuber, and right to repair activist. He is the owner and operator of Rossmann Repair Group in Austin, Texas (formerly New York City ), a computer repair shop established in 2007 which specializes in logic board-level repair of MacBooks.

Seems like a positive, good on FCC.

Seems to not be a race problem, it is more on working class vs. wealthy class problem.

Wealthier neigborhoods vs. working class neigborhoods.

Interesting news to follow, can't wait for independent yters and the like to start commenting on this.

Not sure if this is seen as truthful, but it seems Israel backed lobbyists are the first to use any criticism of the Israeli gov't, Israeli IDF, and Benjamin Netanyahu of Likud to push for censorship around the world.

Both major parties recieve money from pro-zionist backed lobbyists.

Yes, you are right.

It’s not the first time the Biden campaign has attempted to troll conservatives online, coopting their messaging and online spaces. In July, it turned a clip of staunch Trump supporter and Republican U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia comparing Biden to Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson into an online ad.

Construction workers from India should not be used to replace Palestinian workers in Israel, said major Indian trade unions in a joint statement issued on Thursday, 9 November. The signed statement was released on behalf of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) , All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) and even BJP-affiliated Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) among others.

Stating that Indian trade unions must rise in solidarity with Palestine and reject the "disastrous" idea, the central trade unions have called upon the Indian government to scrap the agreement signed in May 2023, during Israeli foreign minister Eli Cohen's visit, to send 42,000 workers to Israel.

The Israeli construction industry also employs Chinese and Moroccan workers, but is feeling the absence of the large Palestinian workforce. Israel has therefore also approached China and Moldova for workers, but in the wake of Beijing’s hard line on the Israel–Palestine conflict, it is doubtful whether more Chinese workers would come to Israel.

Damn, hormones released by brain!

Wow, I would like to see some data on this, when compared to the multiple presidential candidates, from Claudia De la Cruz/Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai to Trump/Biden.

Do they mean the group that has switched back and forth between bloods and crips (Obama to Trump to Biden peeps), or does it mean MAGA people?

It added, “Follow us there for truths and retruths or whatever they call them.” A senior campaign aide said their joining might make Truth Social a little fun.

Gave me a chuckle...

Thanks for bringing this up.

I do not see this type of post too often, which should be important when trying to be better than other social media.

Some sites hide comment or post behind a warning, sucks but better than deleting.

Yes, modlog is really bare bones.

Most have links to them.

Ads are out of hand, that is why many left cable and subscription based platforms are the next thing.

Piracy is growing and that is good, it forces these greedy companies to inovate or to do better.

I thought most of Hawaii was already like that, that is why it is a tavel destination. The companies own the best land and they build hotels and resorts to bring in the wealthy.

I heard Oprah was making a big deal about the fires, not because of the people, but due to her owning 3000 arces of land around the area. Briahna Joy Gray, on Rising with The Hill goes into it a bit: https://youtu.be/Fn2X4V_Lde0?t=299

Similar to how the wealthy have taken over the smaller islands around.

If anyone has more info, please feel free to reply!

Co-op delivery company in the works?!

Great on Tony, doing the damn thing!

https://fitsmallbusiness.com/what-is-a-cooperative-co-op/

A cooperative, or co-op, is an organization owned and controlled by the people who use the products or services the business produces. Cooperatives differ from other forms of businesses because they operate more for the benefit of members, rather than to earn profits for investors.

Co-ops are organized to provide competition, improve bargaining power, reduce costs, expand new and existing market opportunities, improve product or service quality, and obtain unavailable products or services (products or services that profit-driven companies don’t offer because they see them as unprofitable).

Cooperatives present lots of opportunities for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. In this post, I’ll go over how cooperatives work, why you should form one, and how you can start one for your business.

Seems like some people will learn more on how cars work so as to disable the features...

"Many car manufacturers are selling car owners’ data to advertisers as a revenue boosting tactic, according to earlier reporting by Recorded Future News. Automakers are exponentially increasing the number of sensors they place in their cars every year with little regulation of the practice."
