Dark This is the most intricate show ever. The Sistine Chapel of TV

The Wire The most real and relevant show. Much more than just a cop show. I would say this is the best bit of TV ever.

Colin From Accounts Funny. Kind of insane. First 5 minutes and I can't believe what just happened. Makes me want to visit Australia.

Yes

It's sooooo good. Young/old Noah. Young/old Boris. So many amazing examples.

Viewing this on my phone after just waking up, had to rub my eyes a few times and zoom in to realize it didn't say "you are what you cat".

This is not the gotcha you think it is. Yes, tax the Bidens.

The tragedy here is that you had to make a screenshot to then upload to Mastodon, only later to come here and have to point out where the original post is. It would be great if you could have made the post on Mastodon simply by linking to the original post and then the format would have looked just as good as the screenshot, and then both sides of the Fediverse could converse. Or, the opposite could happen.

I've talked about this kind of thing before https://lemm.ee/post/4955936 and some are confident this is how things will eventually end up, so I hope they're right.

So get this, I've been slowly injecting random characters into my posts. Just every day that I think about it I go through my history and ctrl+shift+9 to get a random string from Bitwarden and plug it in for a page of posts. I figured it might not look like a mass delete/replace as much as a scripted one is, and doesn't take me much time.

However, I just noticed today that I can now only view 6 years of my old post history, while I've been posting for 12 years. this wasn't like this earlier this week. I can even find 11 year old posts if I know what specifically to look for. I've even tried with the newer web interface and my history cuts off at 6 years.

They're definitely onto us, even people doing it slowly.

I agree that not many sites will ever again fumble and fuck it up as large as Digg did.

If diarrhea is so great, why did they never make a diarrhea 2?

This game:

It was Rush for me, but yes.

Also Yes.

Exmormon here, going on 20 years now. Don't miss pretty much anything from it except some of the music. Ignore the Republican-looking motherfuckers here and enjoy this: https://youtu.be/WwYm_mKQ3Gs

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is exactly what I was going to suggest.

Here's the thing, for this to work out we need the long game. Doesn't matter if you're boring, you know about at least one topic you care about. Make an effort to post once a day about it. You may even have to create the community for you to do that. Pace yourself, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Just remember this can't be taken away from us. Not anymore.

And, who is the goblin vs who is channeling Marie Kondo changes depending on context. I will throw out shit that could be considered sentimental all the time, but I have chargers and hard drives from the 90s.

This is my comment. 2 drives and you won't have to worry.

Eternally grateful that you're the captain of this ship!

I'd settle for keeping Mac/Win versions in sync first!

Colorblind here: Never!

Yeah, just muscle memory was there to go to reddit for about a week. I still kind of lament how easy it was to type "redd" with my left hand and the click it on the url bar.

I always liked the idea of Vancian magic when I played earlier editions, with the concept that part of the toll magic casing takes erases part of your memory, but functionally it was cumbersome. It was definitely time to move on to something more flexible.

Got forced into Win 11 when I upgraded my work laptop. I can't move the fucking toolbar from the bottom of the screen. Best official answer is that was "engineered out". What a fucking euphemism.

Yep! Imagine Dragons is also kind of Mormon, but has very much butt heads with the church on their LGBTQ stance.

oh no

I am a mod (and main poster) at c/castles and include an OSM link with all my posts.

Yes, so close is exactly what I'm thinking too. Let's hope it gets there soon, before reddit's next big fuck-up to push everyone away (birdsite is doing a pretty good keeping up with fucking up, so less worries there).

Ah thanks, that does look very much on the crawl side of crawl-walk-run. Hopefully the devs understand the urgency of discoverability.

Yep. If you show up to my door with a costume, you're getting candy. Age is an afterthought if at all.

Playing Dark Souls with one as melee and the other as a magic user is pretty much like this.

Yep, I know of certain communities that used it very often. It was pretty much the place to go if you wanted to talk tabletop RPG. That's why I'm really counting on the Fediverse. Find your clan, build interest in what you're interested in, and not get enshittified and/or shut down by the whims of corp execs.

OK, thanks for the info. I'm glad people have the same thoughts. I hope your confidence pays off, for all of our sakes'.

Yeah, even though I went on a mission and have tons of family from Utah/AZ/Nevada/Cali, I'm on the East Coast so a lot of LDS culture like that didn't sink in. I would honestly probably participate in ex-mo stuff more if I had to deal with it on a daily basis, but I'm fine mostly pretending it doesn't exist!

KLOLob!

The part about the bowl of water at the end is perfect.

I would check out your laptop, especially if it's somewhat new. I have one that is dual booting from an M.2 NVMe drive and a SATA SSD. Even if it didnt, I have easy panels that pop off when I wanted to swap.

Hah, you'd think, but everyone else makes it seem like not yet.

IK+ was where it was AT

Very cool. I just watched a longplay and have to ask: what does alcohol do for you? I saw the player opt for it a couple of times, but I couldn't notice a benefit.

Makes sense, thanks!
