I thought we went over this already? Public data is public.

Friendly reminder to not use pokey thing into those grills, use a mounting putty, stick it on there and be satisfied when you pull it off. Same thing if you have wireless earbuds where one ear is a different volume.

A while ago I went to Terme 3000 in Slovenia, they had a looped style waterpark ride. Just as crazy as is looks, I guess the tilt angle prevents major injuries? Because that slide has been open for a long time. It took no effort to clear the loop as well.

Edit: For those curious, it's a pod-style release you can see on the image, the floor disappears under your feet. The green one next to it is one of the steepest in Europe IIRC.

No, YOU are awesome!

Insane, why would you ever create value for a platform with as little respect for it's userbase. What an entitled piece of shit.

CEO salaries:

Mind you these are companies making billions a year in profits, while reddit reported a loss of 91 million in 2023 and is reportedly "not profitable yet". These stats make me sick

Imagine being one of 90 people being laid off that year, each could've been paid 1 million a year and it wouldn't even make a dent.

Holy shit put that on a t-shirt

As a European, I have never once had an extra person there whose sole purpose is putting your groceries into bags, what a strange concept.

Adding multiple factors to authentication just adds another step to the scam, it doesn't make it impossible by any means.

Let's create a society where people want to live and participate in, not fuck their toaster for the entire day.

Both can be true!

Yeah it sucks they seem to get a free pass, there certainly is an element of truth in this post. However, I still think the post is fighting the wrong battle. Memes will pass and Swift has certainly caused this shitstorm herself by threatening to sue a regular joe over public accessible information.

It's a general accepted truth rich people and companies have been spewing the majority of CO2 emissions, and this post is just a whole load of "whataboutisms".

I genuinely can't believe I'm the first one to actively press the downvote button on this post, what a load of bullshit.

I use Lemmy Handshake, an android application which keeps them in sync as wel!

Literally loses it's meaning and usefulness when overused as well

It's great IMO, combined with Samsungs GoodLock suite you can stylize anything about the phone, I used to root my phone for this level of customization.

Edit: I would buy the zenphone because of the size and package, but OneUI is genuinely good

That is true if you possess the ability to empathise, some people treat their pets as accessories. Mine live better than I do lmao

I mean, at this point it seems like a pot and kettle situation here

And we're using it to look at memes of beans

I think this would make for a pretty fine walking stick if you ask me, doubles as a bush clearing stick when needed

If the connections are solid it wouldn't pick up any more noise than a 6.5mm to RCA adaptor would have. Any jiggle to the cable would result in popping or cracking though, depending on the configuration could be quite jarring.

If you read it as "a website providing a service, but that service is also available elsewhere" the analogy makes perfect sense.

Voyager allows me to add filter/block keywords but I assume that's only for posts. Don't see much use in implementing the same feature for comments though.

Maybe people are to harsh on the author for their writing style. They tell the reader that they don't have experience in the field themselves but rather dipping a toe in the world that is SEO. I for one had no idea of the scale of the enterprise, figures they quote from years ago which make your jaw drop.

Obviously the people who work in SEO will make it sound like honest work. As long as there are search engines which got to have accurate results, there will be people trying to place their website above another one. High rolling SEO consultants probably aren't that concerned with the content they are promoting though, just the fact that it gets promoted, raising ethical questions.

As of a some years ago, I too noticed a decline in quality from search results. The face that Mr. Sullivan made snide remarks about it actually improving made me frown pretty hard. Between displaying the same spam website multiple times under different urls, literal bait and switch scams and literally impossible to find niche shit sometimes. I've unironically used Bing more this year then ever in my life, but mainly DDG for a good 5 years.

Meanwhile other Belgian politicians are calling for unconditional support of the Israeli government lmao

En passant has always been the most obscure chess rule, in online chess it's often reported as cheating. Which resulted in a lot of people saying "google en passant", on an unkown lemmy clone someone realising it's an actual chess move replied, holy hell, and a meme was born.

Perfect description, they made very complex functionality accessible by the general public.

Mini portals for electricity and internet but not water and sewage? Cheapskate!

Makes sense, it's more of a bobsled feeling than a loop feeling.

Perry had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy prior to his death, reportedly for depression and anxiety. The toxicology report adds: “At the high levels of ketamine found in his postmortem blood specimens, the main lethal effects would be from both cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression.”

He was getting it as treatment, but technically yes
