Even the article is apathetic... they write "escorted" her back to China, when it'd actually be "kidnapped" or "abducted"...?

A modern company town? Will our paychecks be paid in digital scrip as well?

the proposed settlement gave merchants the ability to impose surcharges on customers depending on what kind of Visa or Mastercard card they use.

Good that the settlement was rejected then. Passing card fees onto the end-customer doesn't fix the problem.

He forgot it at home, right next to his spine.

Has "cloud computing" ever been cheaper for most kinds of established businesses? Other than for some specific workflows, or very unpredictable workloads, the only cost-saving I've ever seen is avoiding the initial costs and avoiding the need for a real ops/obs team.

She tried to cremate the stillborn fetus, and when she realized it's not easy to do cremations at home, she buried it. What's the problem, other than she should have considered flushing it to reduce the risk of evidence? And yeah, she should have also done the abortion much earlier, as well as under the guidance of a doctor, but obviously that's difficult in many states.

It's unconstitutional to deny a US citizen entry to the US. It's the same in most other countries. But it still happens in many countries; Sweden for example has had a lot of problems deporting convicted criminals to their homelands, because their homeland refuses to accept them back.

something Mozilla doesn't even dare, as that's where they get all their Google money from

Or because they're aware that it'd be a huge waste of time and money? It'd be a lot of work to build a search engine anywhere near as good as the existing alternatives, so it'd give worse user experience and waste time.

It's different when they've been dead for a long time. If we avoided anything that has had connections to the NSDAP, the majority of old German brands would be boycotted.

Why would he describe so many problem-points with the tanks? If the manufacturer wasn't aware, maybe now they improve their processes? Funny troll, but doesn't seem like good opsec.

We're not your wife, man.

The first thing sounds like your company has badly-designed Group Policies?

The "puppy snuffer" is the cargo heat outflow valve. Cargo isn't heated unless needed, for example where the manifest says there's animals there. It has nothing to do with fire suppression systems.

But no one should be flying with their pets anyways. Get a sitter, or if you're moving forever, drive there. Even if moving across the ocean, I'd rather spend over a week on a boat (or even give my dog up to someone else) than subject him all alone to the stress of an airplane's cargo hold.

The booths will be equipped with lock sensors which detect smoke. When smoke in such booths disappears, the doors will be automatically unlocked and defiant smokers can then leave the booths, he wrote.

Why not? If it's too hard to leave the hospital to smoke, then what's the problem with having a smokeroom?

Back in my day, we walked for miles uphill in the snow to school, we rode the unprotected meatspin, broke all of our bones, and then we walked for miles uphill back home. Kids these days are so spoiled and pampered!!!

I'm not sure what you're implying here regarding headers? Email is insecure regardless; even when using SMTP with TLS, it's not like the headers are exposed whereas the body would be encrypted or something.

I don't think rural towns are depopulating due to hate or discrimination... it's mostly because of job prospects, no?

That's always the case in the beginning with those apps. And once they have market dominance and/or the shareholders want their ROI, they increase price and hope people still use it. See Uber for example.

I first thought that you worked at the DMV because of your instance name, lol.

Hamas is also guilty of genocide...

Why are you so upset that the store said that it's inappropriate to write "sodium hypochlorite and ammonia" into a food recipe LLM? And "unleashing this piece of shit onto your customers"? Are we reading the same article, or how is a simple chatbot on their website something that has been "unleashed"?

What's he going to say when they respond "FreeBSD" one day?

TL;DR: only ~10% of police are confirmed assailants of domestic abuse!

I wouldn't care if the price was good. Too many places cost as much as hotels, yet you get no hotel benefits.

You check the ingredients? Corn dogs are often chicken sausages, whereas normal hot dogs are usually beef/pork?

Though it's a big difference to comply with business KYC requirements than to simply have a cool icon by your username.

Sure, it's a responsible viewpoint to assume that any gun is loaded and dangerous, even until the moment you yourself have cleared it... but the case is lacking mens rea, because who in their right mind would put a hot gun as a prop on a film set? While Baldwin killed Hutchins, I find it hard to draw any criminal negligence from it.

But the partition is Microsoft's own, basically no one has ever touched it themselves. So why can't they do some housecleaning to make enough space? At the very least, they could fix the error messages to be more descriptive on how to fix it.

The tin-foil in me says it's just a tactic to get people to switch to Windows 11. "Oh, I have errors with my updates? I should really try upgrading and see if that fixes it, I don't want any hackers to steal my megabytes..."

Are we forgetting about airplane catastrophes every time we fly? Or do we live in fear of flying, despite the risk of getting injured being significantly less than when driving a car?

This problem has been created by hyper-racist, hyper-femenist, virtue signaling lefties who honestly believed that importing half a million illiterate, ignorant, idiots. Without language or job training. Was a good idea

TIL Fredrik "Öppna Era Hjärtan" Reinfeldt is a virtual signaling leftist?

It's the typical Moderaterna playbook: increase load on the public services, and do a lot more privatisering to make it more "effective" (and line their pockets), as well as wage dumping for those few who were able to work well. As stuff started to get worse, they lose mandate. But new mandate can't clean up their problems very easily (and are too incompetent to do so), and so stuff keeps getting worse. People get tired, and they have awful memory, so they give power back to those who started the problem -- and suddenly they're interested in their "solutions" that lead to these problems in the first place and give up any freedoms left.

But keep pretending S started the problem. Their only fault was being too incompetent to fix integration and such from day 1.

As mayor, he heard what he thought was gunshots, and pursued who he thought did it until the police were able to intervene. He was wrong in hindsight, but what long-term harm came of it, other than it being a scary situation?

Garbage truck driver

Do they collect garbage in the middle of the night in your country? In Sweden, they are usually driving around in the early morning.

Fix the tags as mentioned by the others. MusicBrainz Picard for example works quite well for this if you want to do it automatically.

This gets rid of any questionably legal gray area of using sites like Nyaa, etc for Torrent links

Except that now you're asking the swarm for metadata behind a boatload of info_hashes? Unlikely anyone would care (though you'd be surprised how many DMCAs I get when just having a simple open tracker running, not even an indexet), but I don't see it as being any less grey than using any existing sites.

If you're looking for more improvements, I'd recommend using a non-default SSH port and to include the destination IP in the rules.

No it wasn't. Though it was on the remastered "collector's edition" VHS.

There are many crawlers, and I'm confident at least a couple have tried to connect to your server (unless you have an IP firewall, or if you've changed Plex Media Sever's default port, in which case significantly less likely).

I assume it's not really about them watching content, but to avoid them exploiting any possible PMS bugs.
